hehe kidding. why don't u check if the holga lens barrel is smaller than a 35mm canister? about 3.1cm internal diameter.

Oh, and yeah.. "the thrill of waiting for your photos to develop" (Quoted by thycursed ;))after an experiment like that is definitely wat i like best.

right on dude.. i am totally with you :bsmilie:

anyway my friend jim gave me a idea.

since you are using a DC or DSLR why waste your effort mounting and spending $ on a peephole when you can just simply photoshop them? i think it would be better that way..

hahahhaahahaa..

i'm just a noob..

yes u can. but takes the fun out of experimenting, doesn't it?

IMO, dats the point of lomo-photography. it's bringing the fun back into shooting. sure. u can photoshop ur pic to hell and beyond to get the 'lomo' effects like vignetting, wacky colours, blurry-arty effect etc... on ur pic. or u can do it the old-fashioned way on film. u can use watever camera, or no camera at all (where's our pinhole expert, csisfun?). or, if u are enterprising enuf like darrrrrrrrrr, make ur own stuff. watever izit dat gets ur photo mojo going, go and shoot some more. have fun, while u are at it.

i might be oversensitive to your repeated comments here. so, i'm hoping i'm wrong, in dat u are not trolling for responses with your various postings like these.

and please, do us all a favour and stop using the much-abused phrase that you are a noobie... and ending if with " "?

meantime, lets all go and shoot some more, yah? if all these wacky photos are not ur cup of tea, kindly go back to the main forums. might i suggest portraits? :)

I agree on this part... personally I find  icon to be pretty rude and a flamebait... or maybe its just me :sweatsm:

well said nightwolf75.. i was starting to find IamJeFfy's replies a little out of place and slightly sarcastic, but didn't want to respond just in case i had misinterpreted him.

ah well. let's keep the threads on topic and the atmosphere positive!

i would like to get a holga/lomo but i keep thinking about the long run costs. that's why i've been playing around with my digital cam and experimenting in other ways. still just as interesting and exciting. like the thrill of having my fisheye convertor click into place perfectly was quite satisfying. and trying to convince my mum that i REALLY spent only $3.50 (she thought i had spent a fortune on an actual lens) was damn shiok too.

at the end of the day, as long as you enjoyed yourself with the process and the end result, as long as you've learnt something new, that's great! tt's why the one thing i don't like about the "official" lomography movement is that it got overtaken by "popular" culture where you had to buy a lomo to be "in". thankfully that mindset doesn't really exist here in CS lomo.

anyone have any other suggestions on what else could be attached? i was thinking kaleidoscope.. hm

hahahahahahhaaa... well would someone tell me the defination of LOMOGRAPHY as i'm still... yours truely..

just a noob.....

what's lomo all about?

go to http://www.lomography.com/about/ and click on 'WHAT THE HELL IS LOMOGRAPHY' to find out yourself.

whether it's all about digitising your shots, PS-ing them, mounting lens, bino, digiholga and whatever you have there. should it still be classified as lomographs? because it's rather annoying to see the lomography section flooded with what digital shots, people mounting bino, peephole, whatever. so be it if you're innovative enough to DIY and i find that those aren't lomo anyways.

seriously i'm just a noob.. can't i?

u too.
most importantly about lomo is there are no rules :)
everyone can have fun the way they want it.
cos there are no rules to be followed thus none is broken in the process of lomo!
let's jus have fun. that's what photography is all about

funny how you're the only one around with an issue with everything that's been posted.. anyway if you really have something against this forum being flooded then maybe you should post up some photos taken with your so-called "real" lomo cameras.

and pls have some etiquette too, if your intention is to rant at the sad state of affairs then pls start your own thread so that we can continue the conversation there, rather than hijack other ppl's threads with your needlessly sarcastic remarks.

anyway, i quote the "WHAT THE HELL IS LOMOGRAPHY" section off the website:

"The explicit aim of the Lomographic Society is to study and document the world's surface by taking millions of snapshots of it.

Following the 10 golden rules of Lomography, lomographers shoot as many impossible pictures as possible in the most impossible of situations from the most impossible of positions. These lomographs are put together to make up vast walls of pictures with tens of thousands of images shot by what are often hundreds of individual lomographers, and then exhibited all over the world.

The ever-advancing progression of this grand scheme is embodied in the LomoWorldArchive, a dynamic lomographic documentation of our lives; growing and expanding with each additional (click!) of the lens. A hungry beast with an endless appetite, the WorldArchive stands poised under the endless flow of lomographic morsels, greedily snatching up every photo in between its jaws, and incorporating it into the intricate mosaic of our Society. The Lomographic Society - founded on creativity and boundless energy, is open to everyone with a curious mind and trigger-happy shutter-finger. With Lomography, art is put in the hands of all, and extraordinary expression flows from ordinary circumstances.

LOMO ON!"
