definitely coz the lens wont be able to communicate with the body and vice versa

i use macro mode and the focusing works well. not sure how this works though.. plus it seems that with the peephole fisheye the DOF is v large so most objs are in focus, so focus isn't a seriously critical issue.

Damn............chio..creative work....

great job! :D ur photos are inspiring! now i wanna take more photos with my peephole lens. hhehe

shall write a short how-to abt this project.

1) You need a 35mm film canister, peep hole, scissors and a thumbtack
p1120549qb5.jpg

2) Unscrew the peephole so you get two pieces. One threaded piece and one cylinder.

3) Make a round hole on the bottom of the film canister. Try to make it just the size of the threaded part, slightly smaller than the fatter unthreaded part. If done right, the peephole should pop into place and you don't have to glue it down. If you made too big a hole, just glue the peephole onto the canister then.

4) Screw the cylinder back onto the peephole backwards such that the canister is 'sandwiched' so it won't accidentally fall off if you didn't glue it down.

5) I put some electrical tape on the inside of the canister so it would make a snug fit with my lens barrel. If the lens barrel is smaller, you could improvise with blue tack or even more electrical tape until you get the right fit.

6) Zoom in until the circle takes up the largest possible area of the photo. You might need to switch to macro mode for proper focussing.

the pics kinda dont work anymore..? =\

Need to go find and re-upload the pics, but here's one I found.. Macro "lenses" on the left and the front, made from parts from an old polaroid camera.

THe fisheye mod is on the right, made from a door peephole and 35mm film bottle. It's not really working too well these days, pictures all coming out fuzzy, have to deal with extreme handshake due to small aperture at tele end of the zoom..

Aiya so mar fun

Just bring the whole door around
