Yes, people always say that the Canon 50mm F0.95 are not sharp, but mine are very sharp at "in focus" area........ even the glass have slight haze and scratched ....

Noct bokeh is smoother, slightly more contrasty and there is a certain "glow".
Both canon sharper, 0.95 softest. They are all superb but I like Noct more but this is personal:)
How about you, Camera23?

For you to compared...... which one you like..... ? all shot with M8, wide open.

I totally concur with CanonRF. I like the smooth bokeh of Noctillux-it's less distracting. I doubt the speculated new Noct will have this look.
Thanks Yau. More POISON please:lovegrin:

Camera23, would you have one with the Noctilux taken with the model's face almost frontal too?

Somehow, I feel that due to the rotated face angle on the Noctilux image, depth was somehow rendered.

But yeah, the glow and buttery smoothness is really apparent. Thanks for the comparison! Must be hard deciding which lens to bring out for a shoot? :bsmilie:

wow.. this thread is really getting interesting... both of my dream lens...

My Noctilux seems to focus ok. Both shots almost at minimum distance and at f1. Subjects tend to move also.

Here is the updated version.

would you say the canon f0.95 gives a more contrasty look than the noctilux? (look at the highlight area on the face/cheek) Not sure if that's only in this case...would be interesting to know in general which gives more contrast and saturation.

The noctilux is getting out of reach ............... S$10K for it..............

I will have one for sale soon, no need to be $10k. :bsmilie:

My Hex60 still has the noct's look.
;)

You sure or not? For the photo below, I focused on the car, bottom right:

Looks more like Nikkor Millennium, but not as sharp in the center as the Millennium which is more scary, sharper than Summilux ASPH !

Some bokeh sample of 6 different Leica mount lens, all shot at wide open, under shade, no flash or reflector.

Thanks Camera23 for putting these shots up!
call me biased, but i like the Hexanon 60mm bokeh the most..;)

Thanks Camera23! Very good information and unselfish of you. :)

Actually, can I suggest that next time you do not put a label to the photos and let everyone pick their favourite? Hahaha.
