KM or Sony service center?

Did a brief search. Realised we're the only ones who've had bad experiences with SONY service centre... funny :bsmilie:

Well, come 06/06/06 when ALPHA is rumoured to be released, let's hope SSC will be ready to serve properly by then. They cannot be excused thereafter. :nono:

There is a aperture pin behind the lens you need a pen to push aperture pin to open the shutter. Than place the lens towards the light. If you see spider thread marks on the lens it has fungus.

Just came from Sony. Send in my my Dynax 5D. Some skinny guy wearing glasses serve me. The service seems OK. He said I should be able to get back my camera in a weeks time.

Getting the mirror cleaned. There seems to be a stain on it. Also ask them to clean the CCD and viewfinder.

wha, nowadays they so lazy, last time i ask them do a simple ccd cleaning only took them less then 1/2 hour to wait. take whole week for what?? unless the camera got problem then diff story.

I believe so. In the previous KM centre, the technicians are just behind the counter!

They will call you to inform you when its done.

Anyway, last Thursday, I went to Canon's SC, and man, the service there is much more superior that Sony's SC. Service I would rate 8.5/10. They have free hot drinks there too. ;p

Guess its my turn to pay Sony service center a visit. My Dynax 7 suddenly started giving me error msg every alternative time I switch on the power.

I switch off, then switch on, it works ok except making a single high pitch noise. I switch off then on again, it gives an error msg. The same pattern goes on as I switch on and off.

This happens only when I mount a lens, but it happens irregardless what lens I mount. Problem persists despite changing batteries, but problem doesn't happen if I don't mount lens and switch on and off.

This will be the 1st time I've to send my Dynax for any servicing at all. I really hope they turnover time is fast (ie within 1 week), otherwise..... I really don't know what to do.
