KM or Sony service center?

wah.. after reading all the posts... sony cs really very bad lehz..:(

2nd occasion, went to collect, they tell me my warranty ended that day, and i see still got dust, den the person say need to pay simi simi fee, so pissed, i went to email their CS in japan... got another 3 months extended warranty which i still pissed, cos preorder in november, get end of december, den warranty start on november... wtf...

3rd occasion, wanna buy a lens cap, 37mm, told them i wanted a 37mm lens cap, they need me to geng 1 model out before selling it to me... i was like, wtf... lucky i know abit of sony products...

overall sony products are good, i think their overseas support also good, only sg abit problem... go other country like china or jap, their sony products have all the accessories... in china can discount somemore... in sg, RRP, den only available in sony shop, and worse... tat time i remember i wanted a Sony Leather strap, the guys say they never going to bring it in... i was like... wtf.... den later see got sell, but i already over the sony mood liao...

Simmer down man!!! simmer down....
 

Should I send my Dynax 5D in to get the mirror checked? Looks like the service there sucks.
 

I recieved a voice mail from Sony yesterday.

They said that they will not charge me anything because they did no repair. I might collect it this Friday afternoon.

I strongly suggest that you send it in. I mean, for me, my lens is discountinued already. Yours is the current model. Maybe they might treat you better?

Can u ask the sony service centre if we go there and do normal dust cleaning must we pay?

Last time at KM they dont charge me??it take only about 2 to 3 min only..clean the sensor i mean..

Just got back from Sony SC.

Went there and got my number. Less than 1 minute after sitting down, my number was called(There was 2 people excluding me waiting, and 3 counters full, one of them being the KM counter)

Was served by some other guy. Told him that I would like to collect my lens. Took my paper thingy and did something to the same laptop. He went behind and collected my lens. The lens was disgustingly wrapped.(HP gives bubble wrap :thumbsup: )

So there I was trying to open the the plastic when he just placed two papers infront of me and said nothing(Do you expect me to what? Sign it? heh). So I continued to open the plastic(I ignored him la ;) ). Then only he asked me to sign. :eek:

After signing, I he said thats all[finally smiling... :rolleyes:], and I walked away. Checked lens, and everything seems to be ok.

Seriously, Sony SC is VERY BAD. If I can use nice words here, I WILL. And I would be very happy. I have lost faith in Sony SC.

eh really consider yourself lucky liao... mai hiam... otherwise, please lodge a complain to Sony Japan... else we still continue to get this kinda service lor... for the sake of all brudders, please do it...

Kaoz. If Sony Singapore's gonna lose business, I guess they can't blame their business models or products. Blame it on Customer Service and Aftersales.
 

Seriously, I dont feel like stepping back into Sony's SC no more. Very frustrating. ;( ;( ;(
 

So the same guy sits at the KM counter for both of your visits? Too early to blame it all on Sony. It can be down to the individual, although Sony can definitely improve matters by looking at things from the ground level.

Instead of complaining, I think positive feedback will be more appropriate. We are basically suggesting improvements to their service, rather than a disservice done to us.

No, different guy. The first guy was a thin very fair skin chinese guy. The second visit was this medium sized chinese guy, had kind of a weird hairdo(but then again, I am kind of 'botak', so anything not side parting and 'botak' is weird to me ;p )

I wonder if anyone from the Sony forum is reading this. Maybe one of them can verify?

DCA MTL go change to nikon, in case u relive ur f828 nightmares with sony cs :bsmilie:

(and sell all ur minolta stuff to the rest)
