K-30 ... K-r Replacment?

They might as well call it the mini k5. Just no mag alloy body only. WR with k5's viewfinder. Who want to buy k5 now? Pentax really know how to spoil market sia! Haha

Kr replacement comes in perhaps between July-Aug?
K5 replacement comes in between Aug-Nov?

Current K5 price will drop due to the Kr replacement, production stopped. Technically, only the chassis/frame, as the internals can all be used in the coming Kr replacement.

Question is, what's the K5 replacement? Just another "pixel race"? Or the time Is coming for my A family to have a "proper" home?

so it retains the K5 sensor with the K5 AF system and algorithms. I wonder how it does on the buffer side.

Just that calling it the K-30...doesnt feel like it replaces the K20.

The blue one sure looks nice. And I like the new 'leather' cover too. But I think it's gonna get dirty pretty easily ...

Pentax is selling the K-5 also with the 40mm XS as a bundle even though the lens isn't weather sealed.
