All m4/3 lenses can be used on the E-P1 and that includes the Panasonic ones. For IS, you use one or the other. Not both together.

I saw some images showing the leather case (not sure if it is leather, just guessing) will it be inlcuded? got pre-order list? I want Silver with 17mm, can Panasonic G1 kit lens AF with this? I wonder how in-body IS and Panasonic Lens IS will work together, produce much better stabilty or cancel out each other making it worse.

Anyone tried that?

All Panny mFT lenses will work as stated with the E-P1.

Sources say the Panny 14-140mm works like a peach with the E-P1 video recording, though I haven't tried it out myself.

As for the IS, it's either one or the other. Two moving elements would probably just confuse the system.

Oh, and a little snippet of information for those concerned with a viewfinder.

When questioned about future availability of a hotshoe based EVF the answer we got was that Oly is working on it.

That has not been decided yet.

At the same time, Olympus has intention to work with external vendors for a wider range of cases.

IS will not work together, you'll need to disable either one.

And the panasonic kit lens will work with the E-P1.

AF is snappy, similar to the G1 (which means it's miles ahead of the LX-3).

AF is around the same speed as G1? Now we're talking. Looks like a lot of ppl are waiting for this.

Erm, microcosm meant 18 Jun (he too excited already lah).

We should see the E-P1 hit stores first week of July.

yeah! haha... my heart almost dropped out for a moment.
haven't gotten this excited over a camera for quite a while...
pretty affordable, as compared to a M8 or rds1...
a small 'premium' to pay for lacking features over other low end dslrs for that compactness..

now if only they can make it the size or a ricoh grd.. muahaha... i can live without the IS and other fancy stuff.. shoot to raw is all i need, and RF focusing... hehe..

when i first saw the concept version, kena poison already...
now is terminal already... no way to cure... except to get it...
lucky i didn't get a 500d just for the vid features...

wah,i go work come back again so many updates,I wanna attend Microcosm's lesson,lucky i don't have a mistress of finance to seek approval from,would be great to have the EVF attachment,would really make my day to get the adaptor only and use my 50-200 instead for tele shots,

Hopefully the viewfinder is closer to what camera capture.... If not, it will be .... :sweat:
