I did make a check as well, it runs slightly about S$1.4k here; a little too pricey imho when you look at the BH pricing and the USD rate right now.

Same reason why ppl pay 800+ for sigma 50 1.4 when there is a canon 50 1.4 for 500+

Yes! ultimately it is the quality of the image produced by the lens.

You should really try Sigma prime lens, the 50mm and 85mm are really quite sharp (if you get a good copy)

Not Nikon 85 f1.4D or G...I'm using canon
Sigma 85 f1.4 HSM sharpness and BG Blurr(Bokeh) good enough for me.
Here are some candid shoot( nothing special) abt sharpness and bokeh close and far distance. Sharpness direct from camera and only edit the color...

Yes,only edit the color but not the sharpness .Sharpness from my camera default setting 3.0.0.0.(canon 5d mkII)

is there someone who owns a 5dmk2 and both the Sigma85 f1.4 and the Canon 135 f2L? can kindly post a side-by-side comparison of a shot taken? same framing and both wide open, assuming space is not a concern. Would really appreciate this, I think not only by me Thanks!
