The last time I was at Cathay Photo which was last week, they still have stock for the 62, 67 and 72mm R72 filters. Is it because of their prices that you don't want to get from them? :dunno:

did they have the 67mm?

well for me and ark...its because we had already ordered them in dec.

I was at Cathay on 31 Dec and they didn't have the 67mm R72, they have the 72mm and 77mm. Didn't check the smaller sizes though.

I'm not IC but I have PMed you my contact and a guide where Merdeka Bridge is. The map you attached is correct. Look at the bottom right of the map and you will see Stadium Road. The 2 green patch on both sides of the river is where we will be walking to shoot. Merdeka Bridge is further down the bottom of the map which is not shown. That is about the place where we will be waiting.

from what I heard from the Hoya importer, they had some problem with Hoya. The previous shipment manifest had 67mm R72 but it was not packed in it. There is a sudden demand for this filter thus limited stock...

You can still order with Lords. The only prob is how long to wait for it
I did check with Cathay photos if they can order it, but they required me to pay a deposit or full payment. For Lords they are kind enough to take order with deposit. I abit paiseh, been haunting them by calling frequently to check if stocks have arrived.... :embrass:

I think it's still cheaper to buy it in SG. I'd check with an online shop, http://www.2filter.com/hoya/hoyaenhancers10.html. Filter itself is USD72.78 + freight USD15.5. Much more ex....

actually so far our outings....*touchwood*....we have never kena rain before. worse was only the recent chinese garden one lor where it was overcast/cloudy for most of the morning.

anyways..i was thinking..maybe we should post our photos in the landscape section too after each outing. that will generate even more interest in IR i think. since i think not as much ppl visit this sub-forum as much as the landscape section.

Thank you all for making me feel so welcome. This is a great board. I got the PM teerex, thanks, it should help a lot.

Unfortunately, since I got my filter, about one week ago, I have had noting but cloudy skies! The first sunny day I get, I am going shooting! Another thing I would like to try is shooting on a day when it has recently snowed, I should be able to get some really interesting WB effects. Especially if I don't set the WB to the snow... I will post pictures ASAP.
