Job related :sticktong

Appreciate some opinions from you guys on these pics. What do you guys think of with and without channel swapping?

I'm losing resolution when resizing pics for posting, anyway to resize and maintain original resolution.

I hope it's okay that I am not from where most of you are. I did not see anything in the rules about it.

Interesting site

Since checking out the site, my phone sounds like echo.
And
Why is there a suspicious car parked across the road from my unit for the last 3 hours :dunno:
There are letters on the side of the car .... CSIRRUS :bsmilie:

Hi teerex,

Those are great photo's both ch swapped or not

I have tried to decide which style I like better .... not shure

I must admit I like blue in the sky, but the tree colour is better when no ch swap.

:dunno:

Thanks for compliment Pablo.

I agree with you about the colour of the trees, I prefer them without ch swap also.

Reason why I asked is like you I can't decide which style to concentrate on. But then, cannot be too firm on the pp as sometimes captured photos require different style to bring out.

Perhaps someone have a way of keeping the sky blue and change the tree colour to the non ch swap. Feel free to play with the photos if you want to.

i think i still prefer pics with blue skies...trees with or w/o channel swapping still looks like to me.

how about going for false colour IR pics next? :D
but that one confirm need tripod :bsmilie:

anyways...got good news from Ark19 liao.
R72 is here
Ilford still outstanding

out of IR topic question for my IR buddies:

if you were me....(having only a D70 kit)

would you buy the SB-800 or save up for a 12-24 instead?

so far...the only time i use flash..is when im covering events at clubs, gigs, etc.
outdoors ive never used it before. or never found the need to?

maybe painting with light for night photography?

12-24...well lets just say i have a think for wideangle like dennis. i know there's a tamron 11-18mm coming out...so i dunno if i should wait for that or not also.
with this i could do wide angle IR too. though i'd need new filters again

Have you taken into consideration that the 12-24mm or Tamron 11-18mm may not be suitable for IR due to severe hot-spot problem? So far I have not heard of any super-wideangle zoom lens apart from the Canon 17-40mm L lens that could be deemed to be suitable for IR use. You might want to borrow one from a friend to try out first to avoid being disappointed later on. :dunno:

sigma 12-24 canon mount i have, let me know if you have the Cokin P series P007 89B filter and I can go try out. or if you got edward optics postprocessing workflow worked out then I can try that and check if sigma 12-24 has hotspots.

same thing, can someone try efs10-22

Hi Teerex,

Kallang Series is nice. Like Vortex, I also feel that blue sky better. But The Kallang Series works very well with sepia sky. Maybe next outing cann go there, I know the place pretty well.

Nothing to contribute today, went looking for budget tripod.

Thanks Max for your compliments and opinions.

ark19 got his R72 today (vortex too if I'm not wrong). He's itching already, has suggested that we go shooting this Sat. 08/01 at Kallang River area. Anyone interested? We can meet at the area just after Medeka Bridge facing the river. Let's see response before we confirm the time (preferably in the morning). We have only tomorrow to finalise if we're going on Sat.

I think I can put ark in the list.

Dennis, Adiemus, Max2.8, vortex, loupgarou, eawtan, acrylonithrill, quekky, tomcat, josho, littledigitalartist. You guys available to come along? Hope I have not missed out anyone.

Oh yes, Pablo you too if you can get a flight out :bsmilie:

Wah, Teerex u faster than me ;)
Finally after so many weeks of calling Seng Cheong and Lords checking to see if that precious black piece of magical filter has arrived anot, I finally got it  If only there is more Teerex might have bought too...
Even David from Lords is puzzled why I'm so anxious to get the filter that he ask me to show what sort of pics will come out of it. Maybe print one and display there to advertise for D70 and R72 :bsmilie:

If you want to order the R72 filter, just give David a call at 62354605.
He's willing to order.

Will be bringing the ELP 67mm and 3" to the shoot to test. But have a feeling R72 will beat it hands-down. Perhaps Max and others can test to see if it's more suitable ;)
