ASA 160, 1/30 sec, f/1.1 on AE mode. Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.1 on Zeiss Ikon using Kodak Portra 160VC.

Cheers,

It really seems to shine when using colour, and this distance. The background gives a nice 3d-like effect to the subjects. when close-up, like in the previous shot of chiif, I see it as no different from other fast lenses.

Just took delivery of a Nokton 50mm/f1.1 and 35mm/f1.2 Asph from Chiif a couple of weeks ago. Finally found some time to give these two lenses a 'workout'. They awesome. Talking about shooting with available light, wide-wide open and with a RF body... wow, this is a totally new experience. With a 1.3X crop factor on my M8, the perspective is just right. I'll need to 'experiment' more with this new-found 'freedom'.

I enjoy shooting using this lens too. It is so nice to shoot at iso 160 wide open, no flash and hand held at night with normal street shots at night.

Sharp lens with amazing thin dof. Really enjoy it, real value for money.

Wide open. Lucky Super 200.

wa lau, poison deep deep....

Still considering should I get this or not :( This year bonus not very impressive

i'm too much of a noob here to post any examples, yet, but i do have some on my flickr stream. hopefully this week i can take some examples on both the Nokton 1.1 and also my Canon 1.2 to compare (on both m8 & m6).

overall i am very pleased with the lens. if you're expecting a Noctilux @ 1/10 the price, you're kidding yourself. but if you're looking for a sharp, fast, and predictable 50mm with great colour and contrast rendition, then i highly recommend it.

Here is a couple from a wedding last weekend that I did. Epson Rd-1, straight Jpegs from camera

All wide open on a cloudy day, handheld, JPG direct from M8 only resize, no PP

IMO, it's a swell lens...definitely a keeper for me
