Yesterday was my second outing with the lens and am trying to get used to the weight. It is sure a heavy monster! I have to take multiple short breaks to rest my arms. I do have the Canon Extenders 1.4X III and 2X III. The only time I tested the lens with the extenders was shooting at my neighborhood blocks. Seems good; by my standard. Will find time to take "action" photos to test the AF using AiServo.

anyway images are very sharp,but wonder how will it perform out in the wild when there is distant restriction.

SBWR,go during low tide to test her out with more egrets n storkbills opportunity. And try BIFs...u will enjoy it and weight becomes 'forgotten' .

to TS: any idea where to get the 105mm UV filter for this baby in singapore? need to be a good one like B+W / heliopan or Sigma it self, not the cheapo one in the ebay coz it will low down the image quality.

i know there are few sell it on ebay, but if i can find in sg it will be easy. i check cathay already they don't have it.

Due to the rarity of 105mm filter, I got mine thru B&H. Mine is not the fancy Heliopan or B+W, it is just the Sigma 105mm UV filter.

to TS: any idea where to get the 105mm UV filter for this baby in singapore? need to be a good one like B+W / heliopan or Sigma it self, not the cheapo one in the ebay coz it will low down the image quality.

sigma singapore does stock it all the while. why didnt ask dealer?
