Very nice set up..
Poisoning everybody..haha
The background Hello kitty stuffs are distracting, otherwise it would be a very nice "studio" shot..lol
Wow! You even gaffered the white tele converters to match the all black set up!
Anybody with Lenscoat to show off??haha
yay!
finally got a bag that can fit the 1DX + 300mm with 2X TC attached comfortably. Got a lowepro flipside 400AW. found the fit to be a little too tight for the combo. sold it and got the flipside 500AW.
Other stuff in the bag. 6D, 135L, 100L, 24-105, sigma 35, 1.4X ii, 16.35L
tada!

Personally I feel that the chance of a lemon set is pretty low. Probably u need to meet Obelix and Ricleo for some professional advise..haha
It's still better to post some images for the pro users to analyse with EXIF info..if u have photos taken with both the prime and zoom on the same subject and emvorinment would be even better..
Anyway, I guess u are Gene's bro-in-law?

i think lenscoats are a little pricey for that little neoprene tubes we get.... thinking of doing a DIY lens coat buying some neoprene online hehe....
haha if you look carefully, you would notice that my lens looks different too.
used matte and scrub black vinyl car decals to cover the lens up apart from the part where the zoom ring numbers and switches are located.
yea thats my bro in law. hehe!

Rich, nicely done but one caution on those vinyl tapes..they leave sticky substance after use. Gaffer tapes still better.
Wooo, what over whelming responses.
Thanks guys.
Yes i use a monopod when i shoot the last two days. Most of the time Im on OS too.
I probably call Sigma tomorrow to arrange a calibration, doesn't hurt right. Hope after calibration IQ will be right.
I love to up load what i got to share with you guys, but i do not know how. When Gene is back from oversea trip, I'll ask him for help.
And yes, Gene is my brother in law. We plan to go Zoo on Sunday, but plans can change haha. Let you know when Gene is back.
PS
Thanks for all the help.
Hmmm. Actually my experiences with vinyl has been better than gaffer. I used to use gaffer on lens hoods, but found they need replacing every few mts to avoid stickiness. With these type of vinyl decals (3m carbon fiber vinyl type), I have even reused one piece across my 5d2, 5d3 and 6d over 3 years with no sticky residue left on removal.
Think it depends on the quality of the adhesive. Those used for cars shld be better.
