Hi prakan, I use this lens for birding with canon 2xiii and im very happy with results.

Here is a spotted wood owl i shot, I stack a kenko 1.4, canon 2xiii, f8, iso 1000, s 1/250

nice capture! too much stacking not advisible hehe... why not crop with the 2x iii? AF will be more reliable, and the 1D4 already has 1.3x crop too

For those holding on to this sports lens, go do the software upgrade!

I did the update over the weekend, and AF speed has really improved greatly. Also particularly for the 1D3 / 1D4 users, troct! It supposedly fixes some AF accuracy issues specific to 1D bodies over certain focal lengths

Did the "craziest" thing with this lens, mounted it to a 5D3 with magic lantern to cover stage at last week's stgcc for video. Waiting for my video team to finish up the video but so far the output looks good.

Gonna be bringing it out next weekend for F1, hopefully can get good shots with it.

Nice Shots! I regret not getting the premium walkabout tickets cos end up only can shoot from the turn opposite Victoria Concert Hall which is super crowded

turn 10/11/12 area? that's my favourite turn in Zone 4 too hehe..... ya sure crowded... but the cars slow down quite abit in this sequence of 2-3 turns, easier to get nice shots here
