I have never used any powerful NR program, but it seems that in order to maximize the potential of the K5. A good NR program is a must.
Very good image clean up at ISO12800

On page 2, they have the settings used (for Topaz Denoise).
I downloaded a trial copy and gave it a try. Wow! I'm impressed.
Now, I need to see if I can find a cheaper and good standalone NR program.

Nice Macro shots fengwei! This one looks very unique. Looks like you were eye-balling it![]()
This insect really looks unique with that antenna kinda thing at it's back. Look like a remote controlled toy.:bsmilie:
Fengwei, some of the insects are unique which do not come across during macro outings.
Yeah, somehow this time I captured some unique bugs, but overall turnouts are not as good as what I hoped![]()
but to me, your pic is
Fengwei, I love the macros samples, all appear to me very sharp and clear
I suppose those bugs probably only 1 or 2 mm in actual size?

I just love the bit depth and subtle tonalities from my K-5 images.
Everyday is a revelation.
I like this photo!!! Nice pose from the bug, look like very cooperative and lift up his leg for the shoot...![]()
