SLR Revolution still has one unit of the 14-45 ver selling at $1105 with Gst Cash, with 8Gb Sdhc and Panasonic case;p
Total 3 Yrs warranty no extra cost.
The one with the zoom lens.
Also a german brand screen protector and quite a few 8GB class 6 SD.
There are shops like Alan Photo or MS that sells it at a cheaper price than Panasonic's RRP here. On top of that, they have purchase on purchase scheme to buy the additional lens at a very good price. Whereas for big chain stores like Best, Harvey or Courts, they adhere strictly to the RRP, which is well, expected for big stores. But they don't have purchase on purchase schemes. We can't even buy the lens separately at retail prices.
My question is:
pricing aside, how come certain shops can have purchase on purchase schemes? Do their stock comes from the same source as the big chain stores? Is warranty covered by the same source, panasonic singapore?

All warranty are definitely same as long as they are from authorised dealer. (As some of them selling grey units/parallel imported ones)
Different shops/companies have different profit margins, therefore package them differently.
You'll be utterly surprised to know that prices of these big stores can be "bargained"...

Ok, how does the extended warranty works?
From what i read, the 1st year is covered by panasonic singapore. We go to them if the equipment needs servicing.
The extended warranty is covered by the store? Anything wrong, we send back to the shop? Did you ask what they will cover? and does it mean they service the equipment themselves?

Think the price for the 14-140mm is around 1.3K. Currently don't think you can get it as a separate unit unless someone put it up for sale in B&S.
