The white one is for their domestic market only.

I bought my white one (w pancake lens) from the Hongkong Airport thru a friend at panny recomended retail price of HKD $7490 (about SGD $1380). Bought it on 9 Oct and it was already sold out in most retail shops... my friend had a really hard time finding it.
I didn't want to get the local sets that comes only in black and silver, the white one is really nice :thumbsup:
I think the best chance of finding one is still in Hongkong. Be aware that many white versions sold online are from japan and comes with japanese menu only, the ones sold on HK has english menu.

At level 11 at Windsor House, Causeway Bay, (there is a new Leica shop, not DC Shop), the GF1 colored pancake set was only going for HK$6800. Before bargain.

Yeah i know many HK shops shld sell for less since that's the recommended HK retail price. But I think it's still a fair price at that time, considering most shops are out of stock and it's about the same price as Singapore's.

Understandable. HK is the last place on earth to buy the latest gadget because in the initial launch phase, they usually cost a lot more, just to make it a premium for those who want to be "the first to own it". In about a month or two, usually the price drops to lower than Singapore. That is how it usually works...
But there are cases where cameras like LX3 maintained a high price throughout because of its worldwide popularity, and retailers banged on that to keep their margins healthy.
