I am waiting for a red GF1 too.

The M4/3 is small and light for my daughter to carry around during her travelling.
Understand Lumix GF1 come with kit lens. They do not sell body alone.
Therefore I decided on having the pancake lens (20mm f/1.7).
The additional lenses should be 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 and later stage 40-150mm f/2.8.

As far as i know those sound like 4/3 lenses, not m4/3... there is no 40-150mm 2.8 in the 4/3 line either....

Now to patiently wait for 31st Oct to see what Oly is doing before making my m4/3 choice. Good thing the GF-1 is sold out hehe or else might be too tempted.

8GB SD card from Cathay is by PenDrive.

But I find it a bit slow in writing to card.

Aiyo.. is it at least a class 6 card? Otherwise when I buy I'll just ask for a little more discount and bypass the free card - then later go get my own preferred card.

According to what I've read, gf1 same sensor as g1 and ep1. Only the gh1 has a newer sensor design.

I m having load of fun with Oly 's E-p1.. so the deciding factor for me to switch now lies mainly in the filters mode.

One smart guy is trying to sell GF1 plus zoom lens for 1150 on ebay and keeping the 20mm..power..he will be getting the 20mm for 380 if he really manages to sell it. I pity the guy buying from him...

Hmm solid feel, bought it at recommended retail price at Harvey Norman.

No discount on pricing but throw in super a lot of stuff and also extended warranty and also no interest installment.

So far very please with the non existent shutter delay compared to PnS camera. Also like the solid shutter sound that it has...:thumbsup:
