hi guys ,
is the xpro1 already in the market? I heard not. So how did some of you get hold of the cam? Nice pics.
zzyzx said:my personal impression is that the image produced by the 18mm lens isn't any sharper or as sharp as the x100's.
I find the 18mm soft on the corners which is a disappointment to me. Wouldn't mind paying more for a sharper lens.
zzyzx said:not only corners. even the focused area also not very sharp. i don;t wanna join the pixel peeping camp but so far the posted images by the 18mm isn't quite impressive which are mostly already downsized.
the camera is capable for sure, but only when coupled with capable lens. shall see how the upcoming 23mm performs.
Honestly I don't really peep much but the softness is pretty glaring without blowing up to 100%. And this is with images at f2.8.
I have spent the last 5-6 days since the IT fair playing with the camera and a 35mm lens and am loving it. Loving it enough to sell off my much of my Nikon kit to a nice gentleman actually - a bit sad after 8 years, four Nikon bodies and many lenses.
But I think the Fujifilm premium mirrorless road is THE way to the future. It is not the perfect camera yet, the AF in lowlight needs a bit more work and I did find myself missing the razor-fast AF on say the Nikon D7000, but it is just so easy and fun to shoot with, so much lighter than my old kit, and the IQ is so amazingly good even at ISO3200 that I cannot seem myself using any other camera on the market now. Can't wait for the other lenses to be launched. Hope they are as good.
I thought I posted a message during the day...anyhows...
Guys, how do you do post processing on the raw files now? I'm using a Mac and the inbuilt software does not support Lion yet, nor is there any Adobe support as of now...
Purely JPGs still?
