Yes we noticed. If you are happy with using the current range of DX units, carry on do not buy the D800.You might like to note that the DX
mode of the D800 happens to have 15MP.
If you are interested in the ability to crop deeply into a file so that the resultant file has sufficient resolution and detail to print large - then start considering the D800. Cannon played that card for years - more MP = cropped files still having enough resolution rather than Nikon if you crop then you may need to interpolate to appear to create enough pixels but may have not enough resolution. Look at the 5D's.
