With 717, do you think I could capture the fireworks? We shall try this Sunday.

I think as long as you can secure the middle portion of the bridge, it should be ok. Let's hope that while during the long shutter release, no large vehicles zooms by causing the part of the bridge to vibrate. If so, there goes clarity.

Was referring to the sheares bridge. Large vehicles did caused the bridge to vibrate, as it did for me last week. If we're going to the sheares, we could all meet at the BK at millenia walk.

for yours, i think its best if we set it around the entrance of either side of the esplanade bridge, cos will have seats behind for your wife to sit, better not stand too much... den also when we leaving, will not be so congested, and will leave faster, alot of ppl like to push around... lets not name them, but accidents do happen... we witness 1 middle age uncle shouting & scolding this ang mo, dunno wats the reason, but he said about the angmo push him... i think its kinda funny lor... but might have other reasons we dun know... in crowded places, its unavoidable to get pushed... if you dun like to get pushed, either dun go, or u take a big barricade...

Totally agree, I am flexible in any location.
Also be careful where you park your car, traffic will be very heavy that night.

i think for him best is to park at esplanade den camp at the nearest part to the esplanade. easy to get back to car as well...

btw the chair is made of those tiles & its hard, so mayb berns u might wanna bring a inflatable cushion or something...

optionally, you can pass me your tripod 1st, den i bring it for u den you can come later lor, cos we most prob will camp from about 4+ to 5+, den its about 3-4 hours wait. you can pick up your wife den come later lor...

No problem for DCA since T16 will be carrying the 2 kgs 055 Manfrotto tripod for DCA.

Bernard, is it fine for you and your wife to go up Sheares Bridge?
You can come later in evening also can, I can secure space for you.

Anyone have tripod to spare?
It is better to secure space using tripod than putting bag on the ground.

Since some of you are coming with wives, then lets camp at the esplanade shall we? It is by far the best place where women could sit down. And also if we camp that early, it would be nearer to go to buy some food and to the restroom as well.
