Don't know if you have watched the video, I don't think the Ferrari driver was trying to beat the red light looking at the timing. It was more of "hey red light! Going through nonetheless!"

I did but it was just a too fast. From that short footage, it seems like he 'cheong' after it turns red because the taxi already in the yellow box. But let the police investigate. What I am saying here is that if a particular traffic junction has many incidents then LTA should look at the timing and not be happy with the summons collections.

Don't understand why some Singaporeans must keep harping on that F guy's wealth, car and nationality. His wealth source, his cars and passport are not my concern. I like my PRC friends but I don't like some of their driving. I think the SG government should scrutinize the China driving licence cos some of them bought one without going through any proper lesson.

Let me share a true story. I have a PRC schoolmate who bought a Vauxhall and taught himself how to drive. He used a fake China licence to purchase the car and he managed to convert it to a foreign legal licence eventually. I was eating in a Burger King restaurant late at night once and we saw him practice at the big, vacant carpark. His car was jerking like mad and stalled countless times (still learning clutch control I supposed?) About a month or so later, he offered to give me a ride to school and since it's nearby and he had improved his skills, I accepted his offer. On a particular upslope, he tried to overtake and he almost hit a car next to me so I told him gently that if he wants to overtake, his speed needs to be faster than that particular car. He replied "when a man is driving, a woman should shut up!" So I told him I can accept MCPs but for this instance I was more superior cos back then I've held a legal driving licence for a few years. I reminded him out of goodwill as I do not want him to hurt himself or get into trouble with the law. He thanked me politely and told me he will never speed. The conversation ended there.

It does not matter if he really don't speed cos with his skills back then, he was a danger to everyone. People like him are everywhere so SG should implement a driving course for foreigners.

Happy hours at the above mentioned places ends at 9:30pm. From 9:30pm till closing is normal hours. The GROs will sit with you from the time they arrive after 9:30pm (sometimes can be quite late, e.g. 12am) till the shop close, and you pay them $250 for that few hours. There is absolutely no hanky panky during those period, instead they "help" you finish your liquor faster so you will order more. Any other service the customers wants is a separate issue between the GRO and customer (can go as high as thousands). There is even a market price if you want the GRO to accompany you go shopping or dinner only.

Easily, the bills can hit $2k per person per night, with all the bills in.

Bukittimah, you mean the Traffic light sequence got problem? BTW, the traffic lights software commonly implemented by Ladder Diagram and diagonal lights will have inter-lock for safety reason. meaning when one direction is moving, the other direction can never be Green light.

After seeing the youtube, i must confess that the Ferrari was really reckless and knn.....lets not talk about beating red light and causing fatal accident.....going at that kind of speed in 60km/h restricted area is already a straight red card offense.

Nowaday supercar driver is no longer ah pek or fat guy.....i've been overtaken recklessly by a yellow Lambo convertible (skd660 if u interested ) in KPE and they were two young chaps in there, i was going close to 80 and they zoom pass me in a blink of the eye, i only heard thunderest engine roar, cant smell the smoke at all, my gut feel that was around 150 or even more which i ve never seen before......and mind u this is KPE with 70km/h limited and until now i still don't understand how they get away.....maybe in camera term i can only say the iso is not high enough to freeze the car plate

And i can tell u that this is not the only one, i can hear engine roaring of Maserati and Lambos in Raffles Place everyday, why they roar like that is beyond me and either our dear TP are hearing impaired or they too cowardly to pursue, try that with ur mod subaru or honda and see.......without stern action on these group of drivers, i assure u we are bound to see the next big one pretty soon.

dont know what will stop his car at the way the farrari is driven. may by another car or pedestrian!

wonder how many traffic he has cheong before reaching This final Victoria and Bugis junction box!

at the way he is driving, suspect this farrari much had been caught by some speed trap or red light camera before. really wonder is Traffic police monitoring the road situation and identify the dangerous driver.

Haha, nothing to hide. There are 2 groups of people who visit these places,

1. To have fun and to splurge

2. Due to work requirement, entertainment etc.

I happen to be the latter. I can tell you, when you see how people throw money away as "tips", your heart will always whisper to yourself "that's another L lens gone"....

I have personally seen 2 patrons who liked a particular singer spend more than Sing $100,000 (this is not a typo) buying banners and flowers to reward her on her show night. She performed for about 2 hours with rest and dance routines in between by other performers. That's only the money the public can see. What amount of money is given to her in private by her sugar daddies is an unknown. That explains why some of them visit Singapore often.

I agree that we all should not classify all PRCs to be the same. For those of you who have dealings with PRCs, you will know that as much as there are bad apples out there, there are equal numbers of good PRC citizens. The good ones always suffer as people around the world keep having a stereotype against them because of the bad done by the handful.

This is really a case of Ma Chi being in the wrong, no 2 ways about it. Maybe with this incident, the government should make it compulsory for all new immigrants to go for road traffic tests with minimum number of practical sessions they must complete.

frankly speaking, nowadays i seldom see Traffic police patrolling the road. be it day or night. normal road or expressway

is it that they rely too much on technology like speed camera, red light camera, speed trap etc? they just sit in Maxwell waiting for calls?

or they come out at festival celebration, Minister visit only , national day only?

Haha power, most I saw was about $40,000. She got 2 crowns at $10,000 each and the rest made up of banners. And the worst thing, she is already an auntie near 40 years old. Sugar daddies really nowhere to spend money haha ....

there are bad and good ppl in all countries.. just less or more.. for china, bcos they are poor before, u see lots of greed.. fake eggs, fake this fake that, poison milk powder... each country has its characteristics one.. this is true...

the recent unhappiness abt migrants is bcos our land is just too small.. now we have so much congestion... but on the whole i think Singaporeans are friendly people... we are quite used to foreigners.. my sg frends told me how they are treated in AU.. and we in general do not do that to foreigners... but then things may change, who knows... everything is changing, each change bring another change...

but i always think as long as one remains truthful and sincere, unbiased, things will be better.. being so is more powerful than using force...
