The noise is well under control, and more importantly, the colors seem to behave very well.:thumbsup:
 

Based on your experience, is K-7 that much better than K100D at ISO 1600? That's the highest ISO I've used, and have been pretty pleased with.

All shots up to ISO 3200 look pretty good!

Yes, at ISO1600, I think K-7 is better than K100D, but don't forget that K-7 has much more pixels than K100D. If you resize K-7's file to 6mp, it'd blow away K100D at any ISO :)
 

Lovely Test... Thanks FW... now really must save money to get K7... I think the ISO @ 1600 and even 3200 was wonderful.. the HDR too.. look at the cloud.... I think Pentax is really back to track... and hopefully, more marketing to push it.. and i think Can** and Nik** will follow the trend that Pentax had set.. Remember *istDs.. the small form camera that the rest came out after it.. Hopefully its AF is just as Great.. now.... Pray Hard for the 4D to Strike....
 

Thanks for taking the time to do the test fengwei, the NR works pretty well. When looking at the ISO3200 resized pics, it seems that the one with NR set to off might look better. But when you open up the original, and compare side by side you can immediately see the difference, the one with NR enabled contained more details. Didn’t notice the present of chroma noise also.

There's no doubt that the IQ of the K7 is class-leading ........ but I was told by a user that the AF(C) is only so so ........... :think:... will just wait and see ........:)

AF.C is definitely better than K20D, but probably still can't match C/N's high end models :think:

Never won any 4D or TOTO yet. Really need some cash for the kids, the new house, a car, and of course the new K-7 ;p

Thanks for posting these tests of Pentax K 7. What can I say on my K 10 D, is that these high ISOs of Pentax K 7 is excellent.

I usually shoot football women and suffer a lot with the ISO and AF Continuous (AF-C) of Pentax K 10D , which is very bad.

I wish that you can also do some tests with the AF Continuous (AF-C) , preferably photographing something in speed from meeting with the camera.
