Oen last question, does the histrogam work lives instead of showing you only after the take? The korean website shows it histrogam live, I wonder if that was manipulated..

Looks like Chia is ready for the upgrade =P I'll resist this and focus on upgrading my skills =P

Hey! I know who you are! Mr LBA himself! :o

Welcome to Singapore, virtually. How is your DA*300? Ops, I mean how are you? :bsmilie:

Do show us your photos here, especially with your long lenses.

Thank you for your nice welcome, SBC. :)

Thank you for your nice welcome. :)

I like Singapore very much after my visit there in 2004. I have a major supplier from there, Hitachi Cable (S) who I visited in that year and I am very much looking forward to returning for another visit.

Here are a few photos from back then:

Beautiful photos, Lance. I'm sure I've seen it before ;) But I'm glad to see them here at our forum too :D

Yes, if you are shooting in LiveView mode, you can show (or hide) the histogram live on the screen :)

Did some high ISO testing w/ K-7 yesterday after mignight. Nothing interesting at home, and couldn't make too much noise 'cause the whole family were asleep, so I took some photos in the kitchen. K-7 w/ FA31 mounted on tripod, 2 sec mirror up.

K-7 has three level of NR (noise removal) setting, user can choose to disable it, or set it to low, medium or high. User has option to start NR at ISO200, 400, 800 or 1600. Based on my test, there isn't much difference between all these settings at the moment. Probably because it's a beta testing camera, only has firmware of v0.3. The NR software probably hasn't been implemented at all.

Anyway, here are some photos taken w/ NR set OFF, all from RAW (DNG) file converted by ACR (w/ default setting) to JPG, save in quality of 10 , except the ISO6400 ones which were saved at quality of 8 due to the bigger file size (over 5mb if saved above quality of 8, my photobucket account has a file size limite of 5mb).

Thanks fengwei, for your ISO samples.
Upto ISO 1600, seem perfect
ISO 3200 & 6400 still pretty much usable
Seem K7 perform quite well.
Will draw quite alot of BBB virus

This is only a beta testing camera w/ a firmware of v0.3. And someone said the CMOS sensor is slightly different from the final production too. So please don't judge the final IQ basing on these testing photos :)

But if a beta testing camera is so capable already, I'm sure I'd be more than happy w/ the final version :D

Agreed! It appears that the camera is usable up to ISO 1600. Of course, ISO 3200 can be used during special situations with digital manipulation!

Thanks for the testing..this is very promising.

FW, if one does not get poisoned by your review, then I dunno what will to get them to change to the K-7. hehe . . .;p

That ISO3200 image was at 1/5 sec? Although the scene is well lit, the output is quite remarkable! Looks like the K-7 will deliver on the high ISO front for sure.

FW, any chance of taking a dimly lit scene when you have time? Just ISO 1600/3200 will do. TIA :)

Sound good to me

looking great at 1600, as long as it's not at the expense of detail

It's pretty dim already. ISO100 one was taken at 6s! I don't wanna take any photo if it's dimmer than that, no point I guess 'cause you can't even see details by your eyes :)
