Now to wait for a couple of reviews with f/w 1.00 before placing my order.

Hope you still can get one in the first batch if you don't order it now ;)

Yeah, I hope so too. The problem is that even if I buy right now, I won't be able to utilize it fully until September...workload is too tight until then..my advisor is urging me to finish writing up, so I have to concentrate on that for the next 2 months; the K-7 will be a major distraction .:(

I was told that there are only a limited number of K-7s destined for singapore for the first batch (or maybe I misinterpreted it?). I hope I can get one a couple of months down the line.

Hi Frank,

This thread was linked to DPR and so I thought I would comment.

Thank you very much for your very informative post. I have the K7 ordered from CRK, Sydney and hope to get it when their first shipment arrives, but I am not sure when that is.

The K7 looks like a fantastic camera and from the looks of the specs, exactly what I am looking for, I like the smaller size and the solidness.

Anyway, I hope all is well with you and your beautiful family. I miss you at DPR. :-(

All the best from your Aussie friend,
Lance

Hey Lance. Thanks for coming over here to our forum :) Kinda surprised when I saw your name here :D The family is great, kids are all grown up now.

Yeah, the K-7 is a great little camera, small but fully featured. I really like the feel and the look of the camera, and the best improvement over previous cameras to me are: super quiet shutter and much shorter shutter lag, AF improvement, 100% viewfinder and of course the much better LCD screen.

I've ordered one too, hopefully will have it by early July. Since we are closer to Philippines, we probably will get the camera earlier than you guys ;)

Sorry about my absence there at DPR. Should've visited there more often. Kinda miss you guys too.

Thanks again and cheers!

Frank

Fengwei, I think your this Pentax K-7 thread draws a lot of attentions. Last night, I was very surprised to see up to 102 viewing our CS pentax forums. Usually, i notice the most is about 20+ viewing.

Thank you very much for the welcome, Frank. :)

I can understand why you do not post as much on DPR, but as you probably know it can get a little harsh over there and this is why I had been posting less there as well and am looking fopr something a little more friendly.

Glad to hear that the family is doing well. :D

Thank you for your nice welcome. :)

I like Singapore very much after my visit there in 2004. I have a major supplier from there, Hitachi Cable (S) who I visited in that year and I am very much looking forward to returning for another visit.

Here are a few photos from back then:

Good shots of Singapore! Like the night dragon best. I think it reflects Singapore's size that everyone here knows where those places are! :bsmilie:

I've only been to Melbourne and Tasmania, and love both places lots. Especially in autumn!

Hope you continue to drop by this forum now and then!

Thank you again, le Petit Prince.

The forum seems a very friendly place, so I would like that very much.

Welcome to CS Pentax forum Lance. :)

If you are here next time, can always contact Frank and see if we can have a Pentaxian outing.;)

Nice photos you have posted.

Hey! I know who you are! Mr LBA himself! :o

Welcome to Singapore, virtually. How is your DA*300? Ops, I mean how are you? :bsmilie:

Do show us your photos here, especially with your long lenses.

I got poisoned, unless something show me a telephoto prime ..then it will go there ...dangerous to read K7 related thread...
