Experiences with the new K-7 Camera

Wow. Just wow. Just some thoughts...

- Punchy colours (Is red still a problem?)
- Tungsten correction (Does it work with JPEG?)
- Distortion correction (UWA, here I come!)
- CA correction (Only for DA?)
- Level adjustment (Corrects up to ?% tilt?)

I'm assuming all of these are selectable in the menu?

Then again, reality prohibits me from indulging in this little wonder.

I dont see any problem w/ red color, yet.
Tungsten correction works for both RAW and JPG, but I guess you got a lot more to play w/ RAW
CA and distortion correction only work for DA lenses
I haven't tried level adjustment, but by paper it says only within 1 degree, and this isn't selectable, it's done automatically.

CA and distoration correction are selectable in menu, Tungsten AWB correction has two levels to select too.

Bro, keep your K20D for now la.. you just got it, K7 won't give you more fantastic photos than the K20D ;p . For me I will wait for end of the year and decide, currently targeting an ultra-wide lens.

What I think: Given a choice of better lens or better body, the lens should come first. This applies especially to those who're just starting out taking photography seriously. And also because usually we only have budget for either body or lens upgrade at a time, not both. And that's what I've been doing the past year.

Anyway, I guess most of us here already have good lenses, so it's a toss-up between getting a body to match the lenses (if one has a not-so-good body) or getting even better lenses. The quest for photographic (equipment) perfection knows no boundaries, haha!

wah liao eh, now got 2 frens trying to poison me. I have 85mm F1.8 leh so 77mm too close. maybe the 70mm and the 43mm hehe . . .
