Lol. Well, overall it's really an awesome cool machine.
See if any of the rest actually went to take note of it and clarify. I will take it out to the field to test tmr again and then see which to go for. 5D2 for FF or 7D for Speed & Accuracy.
I so want to get it asap! haha can't wait! but no stocks everywhere!
Will call AP SLS since someone mentioned there are stocks?

well u can find ppl who wants to buy the kit lens.i was at TK yesterday. Somebody bought kit lens and the other took the body.apparently the kit lens seems cheaper to buy fr TK then some crazy price ppl are posting at B&S. Then u can get it faster.TK also told me now they can't sell 2.4k because canon complain too low and requested they bring it up higher to closer to 2.5k. Why not try this way? But don't ask for 600 for this lens la...and i think you will have more ppl willing to share the load.

yeah. i sort of just realised that. i thought the 7D and 5D2 comes with it as well. sorry. :sweatsm:
It seems to me that the noise level of 7D is higher than that of 5D2. I took the 7D out for a shoot yesterday. All were done at ISO400. On viewing the images in LR2, they seem grainier than I will expect at 400 at 100% crop. For the 5D2, noise will start to creep out at 800 or more.
But I just read in the 7D manual that : if the 'Auto Image Optimizer' function is enabled (factory setting is enabled and set to standard) it may increase the noise level in the images taken. So, I will probably have turned it off an try again...
Just an observation, nothing scientific about it too
Does LR2 support 7D raw already? Or are you refeering to jpegs?

Why is everyone so afraid of noise? Coming from a film era, noises these days are very very much better than those grainy days already.

agree with you, noise control for both full frame and crop cameras now are excellent.
don't go about pixel peeping and 100% crop viewing all your shots and complain about noise. A well composed and exposed shot will win over the viewer even if there is some noise visible in the image.

Yap, LR 2.5 does support 7D raw. Recently, edited the raw images taken using 7D.
Surprisingly noise control of 7D is very gd, even at ISO 3200.

Not quite 5D-ish yet, but close....
With all the features in it, and the way I shoot, I can live with wee bit more of noise.

The 7D's ISO performance at 3200 is pretty similar to my 5D at the same ISO too.
Thats very good news for 7D users!
7D's ISO performance have improved quite significantly fom 50D, so yeah it's gd news.
phoa, LR 2.5 support 7D RAW already ah? where you download the update ah?
i think ACR still don't have support for 7D RAW right? Adobe website don't have any updates yet.
