Waoh.. the video with L lens looks damn good.. drooling liao.. where's the pre-order list?

I got a feeling this cam is going to be a bestseller that Canon has yet to see. With the HD video capability, there is so much you can do with it. Not to mention the photo taking capability.

The 5Dmk2 is like wine.. it seems to get better each day.

I would like to say that the video recording is not useful. To a non-DSLR user... how many times u use that function? Probably after few times, u'll forgotten about its existance. Talking about DSLR user...I think we probably dun use it. Lets say about HD video recording... I think get a HD camcorder will be better...cheaper too.

More resolution means higher memory usage(more $$ spent on CF cards). Do u store that large files in your online album? It will take forever to load. Ended up u'll resize to 600X400 pixel. In your HDD? Do u print ur photo in 8R/poster size everytime? I dun...

The few things that makes me 'maybe' wanna get it is sensor self-cleaning. Its like nobody mentioning about this. It will at least help u to reduce that irritating dust spots in your sensor when u use high f/number...

Another is the FF that I can fully uitilise the wide angle power of my 17-40mm f/4L. With the upcoming 85mm 1.2L I think I am happy with it already. Until I go into micro photography then that will be another story...

New processor... maybe can producer 'better' colours? Perhaps...
Live view...onie need it in events like S.I.N when u have to raise your hands up in the air coz models were surrounded by other photographers. In other times, I still prefer viewfinder. So once-a-year usage...

Finally I think figures on the resolutions & video format is not a consideration factor for getting a 5D mk II...
Well, I think I'll wait for the 5D price to drop instead... how I wished it has self-cleaning unit...(else good'O sensor swap again...haiz)

Bro long time no see, you interested? Still in contact with John? :)
yea, long time no see...also long time never contact with John. Maybe can meet up one day for a cup of coffee;)

ahhaahahah

Finally able to use back Video using L lens.... since Canon's XL series has stopped... but looking forward to new Range of XL Camera to use L lens...

My colleague checked with John 3:16, and was told $3700

It really depends, like 50D it came out at approx $1860, end up retailers jack up the price.

Don't hold high hopes for a good price on such a good camera. :nono:

yah hope retailers don't jack it up too much, and let it be sub $4000. :)

You are thinking from an average joe user point of view which Canon isn't targeting at all. Photojournalist, wedding photographers, indie video production, stock shooters will love what the 5D Mark II is offering.

yah hope retailers don't jack it up too much, and let it be sub $4000. :)
That is somewhere between dreamland and almost too much to ask for. Prepare to be sliced deep with pricing here.

All I know is, the Mark II is sinful as it gives me one more profound reason to buy L lens.

:lovegrin: another wonderful product from canon~~

Oh man i'm already in dream land.... let's hope and pray for a miracle~
