Damn.. It is clearly a conspiracy between the manufacturers.. They leave enough room for each other at our expense.. ;p

Is Jpn MFG and business they won't kill each other. :)

You know the canon service centre at harbourfront has this caligraphy on the wall, i think it's japanese kanji but in chinese it reads "gong he" or coexist.

errr... can you read? from the page u linked

"*YOU MAY LINK TO THIS SITE - BUT YOU MAY NOT REPUBLISH ANY OF THESE IMAGES IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM IN ANY OTHER MEDIA WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN PERMISSION. GIVEN THAT THESE WERE SHOT WITH A PROTOTYPE CAMERA - I HAD TO DO A LOT TO OF MANEUVERING TO GET THESE OUT TO THE PUBLIC, WITH CANON. PLEASE DO NOT HELP THIS COME BACK TO HAUNT ME (AND POSSIBLY YOU AND/OR YOUR ORGANIZATION) BY STEALING THESE IMAGES AND/OR VIDEO WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION FROM BOTH CANON AND LAFORET VISUALS INC. IN WRITING. "

Think maybe he's using a tilt shift?

Neber used a T-S before, not sure how the manual focusing works there... but wat I'm tryin to say is that the main subject is a little OOF.

Also, looking closely at the first pic... is T-S effect like tat one?

This camera is certainly not designed for sports or fast action photography. If just from the specs, you do not understand what this camera is designed for, certainly this press release from canon should specify it pretty well.

"Professional photojournalists and wedding photographers already choose the EOS 5D for its discrete size and outstanding image quality,” said Mogens Jensen, head of Canon Consumer Imaging. “The addition of HD movie recording opens a new chapter for EOS. It creates new possibilities for EOS photographers to capture and share their stories and to stay relevant in a rapidly changing digital landscape."

and I certainly don't understand how people already start judging this camera even before it is released...

Bro, the first image has been post processed with masking and blurring, and definitely not the camera or lens error.

depends on who is looking at it, it could be a interesting image or bad PP to them... ^_^ I choose the latter

Well, who would not want to have the best of everything? That being said, those people who wants everything will complain that this 5DII don't have 8fps, too high MP (?!) and the print button etc etc. My advice for these people is that they shud migrate to the other side of the fence to satisfy their desires. Then later find that there isnt much choice of cheaper-n-good performance lenses for their FF cameras.

Dang!
Time to start saving up!!!!
At least the news is out, if not i might just have jumped into the 5D.. was looking at a full frame after the last 4yrs

anyone knows from shops when is it arrving in SG shelves & wats e price?
