Look thru the dpreview's preview, cannot figure out how to activate the movie mode..dun see a movie mode on the shoot mode dial, dun see any Movie buttons on top, front nor back....hmm...

:bsmilie:

doesn't sound very ergonomic to me...maybe its hidden in that lovely 3" screen? ;p

Looks like it...so long its not on the shoot mode dial, there is still chance of shooting video at M mode.;p

Really? Did you get mistaken that the video must be MF as there is no AF, but shoot mode I am not sure...as its stated exposure is auto during movie mode, so it might not be Manual mode.:)

i thought you can only shoot videos in M mode

I suppose the movie mode is activated via the Lv button.. ;p You need to be in liveview to be able to initiate the movie mode. No? ;p

Huh? Press LV to get from optical view finder to LV mode, then press LV again to start recording? I though pressing again will disable LV mode and go back to optical viewfinder mode? If not how to off the LV mode?

I guess it should be via a soft menu once you're in Lv mode...

ANONAH! I tot "PWD is D90" is some internet shortcut which I tot means "powered is D90":bsmilie:

Thanks! Go download now.:)

Just some ants... The audio seems to have some breaks but the video looks good at 100%.

Darned... I got a Canon 450D in May to take better pictures of my baby girl... now I want to switch to Nikon coz of the video-capture...

Darned...

Trying to sell the 450D now... who else is in my shoes?

If you just want video, then perhaps you could consider just getting a handycam instead. Good enough for videos of you baby girls. No need to just upgrade, just because of the latest gadget.

I read this already, but I miss the details of it! Thanks for cutting out this important portion!! It can support M mode video and A and S mode too! So it should be able to adjust the aperture during video mode and can also use MF lens for M mode video!!:)
