Dpreview announce D90: http://www.dpreview.com/news/0808/08082702nikond90previewed.asp
the one of the ducks looks good to me..
The pixelation of the D90 demo video looks quite bad leh. The video can be found here.
Looks like PnS video, don't quite understand what they mean by HD video, looks more like video in 16:9 format and that's about it. The duck and spider videos are not as bad as the lady and her horse.
I have a HD camcorder, image quality is way way way way better that the demo video.
will be announced in few minutes
i think there is no way to go around it, pretty heavy compression will be there, else the write speed of the SD card definitely wun go on par with the data rate. having said that, its considered really good for a camera(yes, not HDV camera)The pixelation of the D90 demo video looks quite bad leh. The video can be found here.
LOL.. you're comparing HD camcorder with a video from a DSLR.
This is the same as comparing DSLR pictures with your still capture from HD camcorder.
Another thing, about the video mode.
"Autofocus is not available when recording movies. Matrix metering is used regardless of the metering method selected."
I guess can manually zoom and manually focus.
I can imagine first time DSLR buyers will be really interested in the movie mode.. Heck, even I'm quite excited by it.. No comparison with a camcorder of coz, but looking at the possibilities with the lenses available, it could be a really fun feature to have..
Not to mention, the pictures look good too.. If I'm buying in the market to buy a new DSLR now, I'd have a hard time deciding between the D90 and the D300 from a serious hobbyist point of view..
