Question;
If it REALLY comes out and hit our stores; how to convince myself / my wife / my whoever around me that I NEED / WANT it while I've just had my D40 merely 3 months ago?

One thing good about Nikon DSLR is tat the bodies more or less look the same to the untrained eyes (tat is if u skip the pro D1/D2/D3 bodies)...:bsmilie:

oh look honey. this one can shoot video as well. no need for you to carry the video cam when we go on trips. some more got VR lens. can keep tripod at home. no need you to carry.
and more megapixels. can shoot and crop. leave the long lens at home.

if you compare your d40 to other 10mp or 12mp cams, you find that the d40 has the best iso noise performance throughout.

the D90 will go down in history as the 1st DSLR to have video recording feature
don't you want to own a piece of history?
if you buy the D90 you would not need to bring along the video camera?

This cannot be true now. This review is 1.5 years old, comparing with cameras 1.5 years ago. That's a long time by DSLR standard.
But then, you may be right that the D40 is good enough for most people's needs.
But then again here we are not talking about NEEDS but WANTS. :devil:
