How to compare? D40 only 6MP. Still I think D40X high ISO noise performance is still slightly better than D40.

The high ISO noise control should at least be same as D300 lah since in a year's time the D300 replacement will up the ante again.

Anyway, this D90 is really exciting. It will be tough to decide for buyers to go for D300 or D90.

I'm really intrigued by the video idea. It's actually made me poke around the rumour sites for more info (1080 video is the word on the grapevine). My concerns are the codec used, the audio options, and the AF function while taking videos.

i believe it should be the same as the D80 - SD cards

for battery, i am 99% sure that it will be using the same battery as the D70/D80/D200/D300/D700 - EN-EL3e

Hello. Using a Nikon D40x now. Fustrated cause no Grip, No Motor, 3 point AF.

Thinking of upgrading to Nikon D80 but i've been seeing alot of this "D90" that's rumoured to be out soon. any news??!?!?!?
