7. 1x extra third party batt (so I have 2 battery including the 1 come together with body)

Bought it from COMEX last weekend.

nope..you paud a good amount and got a nice deal. The diff u might have paid more is

Definitely a good deal.
I paid $1699 for:

But this was at the height of the D90 craze. So each shop I approached only had a shipment of 3 units every 2 weeks. It was crazy times.
At I got this at MS Color...who I have always appreciated for low price.
Well...I guess demand does drive up prices...

I assume that you are talking about the freebies stated below. I wonder how nikon will ever give away a free third-party battery as part of goodie bag. Maybe you can ask HN on that.

Since you missed the Comex boat, you may want to consider going ala carte at other popular shops.

1) Can get a D90 body only.
2) A lens of your choice. (depending on your own needs)
3) Memory cards going cheaper everyday, can buy the extra cards later when you really need it.
(i remember i only had a free 4 gig card. Can take around 250 RAW photos)
4) A better bag. i think 190aw is big and good enough for all the gear, but a bit soft for protection.
5) Dry cabinet

Of course this suggestion may get more expensive. But how i wished i did ala carte previously. I had a hard time selling off the free stuff i didn't really wanted. (including the kit lens);p

Did U manage to sell of your kit lens? PLan to get the kit and sell off the kit lens.

Oh, I think I saw your invoice the promoter showed me. He was trying to get me to commit for 1750 with your package, but I bargain with him until $1720 and got a SB-600 speedlight for $299. Maybe I should have bargained more and pretend to walk away or something. :dunno:

Its a fun thing, gimmick. Good if you don't have editing software like photoshop and just want to "play" around using the in camera editing functions. nothing great IMHO.
