yeah, please show us your photos/evidence here so that we can check for you.
Paul, don't worry about commenting the D7000. I agree with you that D7000's colour is not as rich as D90. But as you mentioned, it is not much of a difference and is at acceptable level for D7000... not so bad that people have to trade in their D7000 for a D90... maybe Jacky's words is a bit too strong...
I mentioned about "it is not clear whether you have closed the battery cover" issue... any bros feel the same?
Btw, what is the battery cover issue you're talking about? I could have missed it. For my battery cover, I don't find it an issue as it seemed to be tightly fit into its compartment. Never had a problem with it coming out.
Covering up however, is another question :bsmilie: I find myself having the need to 'PUSH' the battery cover back in place after replacing the battery, resulting in a loud TIAK. Other than that, no problem :bsmilie:
Mine is different... for the "TIAK" sound is not the problem and I prefer to have the "TIAK" sound because I know the cover it closed.
For my case, I put in the battery, close the cover and no sound at all. Sometime, it is closed and sometime it is not!!!! (I think the catch is too short)... I got to "shake" my camera a bit in order to make sure the cover is closed. Nothing big an issue... maybe some QC thingy... :embrass:
Thanks 116520I share the same sentiment to those of us who owns one, would engage in a discussion on the camera itself, rather than to bash (note the difference between the 2, even though it's closely similar).
Btw, to add on, just take note of the jpg and raw difference. Jpg can be adjusted in the camera. If you want a richer photo, sureIf you want a sharper photo, sure
It's jpg after all.

Nowander it doesn't deserve a gold award in dpreview.
If people asking me whether it worth upgrading to d7k from d90 for still photos, the answer is quite clear from me. It is a definitely a NO. Just my personnal oppinion..
Yes, your opinion counts... and we appreciate it
But not this...
You don't agree that you're bashing on Nikon for these 2 statement?
Alright, I agree that the 2 statements is a bit harsh. Maybe because I wrote Tat after being fedup doing touch up of many photos that previously don't need my attention at all.
Btw, one good news. NSC guy told me , they think that the firmware will be out around next week.
Hope it really solve the problem.
Hope that u don't misunderstand. I comment about the color Coz another person mentioned it, so I am just sharing my finding. I shoot raw+fine jpg. When I found the issue, I correct it using adobe camera raw. And I just make the comparison to d90. Dun think I am bashing on Nikon or Wat. It is just purely the find out from my photos and I would like to know how about the other people photos from d7000 about the color.
I tried vivid profile and do a bit of saturated fibe tune in camera after I find out that..
As I am shooting as my hobby, I looks at satisfaction as a very important factor. Somehow, d7000 photos can't really create the satisfaction Tat I got from my d90 previously. Anyway, just my personnal opinion, it might be due to I haven't get used to d7000 yet.
As for the battery cover, I think it is normal Coz there is a wheather shield rubber at the cover that causing u to feel that it is not closing well?
Peace.
How come ?
If because of dynamic range, D7000 shouldn't be better in the range compared with D300.
Hi, I'm new to clubsnap but not to photography. I own a D40X and planning to upgrade my body.
I don't know what camera settings the reviewers have set at or if theres something wrong with my eye or that theres something wrong with the new sensor in the camera. Or is it just that the 18-105 kit lens (which is used in most reviews) is a bad lens? D7k users/testers, please advise on the colour production issue. Mods, pls feel free to put this under a new topic if you wish to cos I think this topic is getting way too long to navigate and to read all the user's opinions of the camera.
Ya.. Like I said.. The photos look like washed out on Colour..
Human complextion looks pale..
I tried vivid profile yesterday. Doesn't help much.
I got to edit majority of the photos in Photoshop.
I think I am about to give up d7k.
Nowander it doesn't deserve a gold award in dpreview.

In this case, Bro airbus380 asking for opinion and he replied yet get questioned? Why a public discussion forum becomes so personnel? :nono:
Sorry if I sound a bit harsh, but to highlight the issue, and I wish to see this kind of "truth" and "fact" which can help a lot of interested buyers take into consideration. Hope you don't mind.
Just my 2 cents.

It's a shame you can't see it. It is certain that we've our rights to comment indeed, however, there's a limit to it. If one cross that limit, then it is my rights to comment that he did. However, the whole idea is not about who's having right on speaking what, but rather, the responsibility to be rational at times. In this case of Nikon bashing cause of one's opinion is indeed regrettable. :dunno:
For your info, opinion aren't facts, and there's a law (defamation) to emphasize on that.
For your emphasize on his opinion on hot pixel, it's no longer a representation of merely 1 customer but majority. Nikon has acknowledge it and will be doing something about it. Time to move on
Is correcting someone's wrong perspective consider personnel I wonder. As you can see, most of us here are correcting him. And that's the truth and facts. What's yours?
Let me bring this quote again, "opinion aren't facts". As to say, having a genuine opinion of why this product doesn't deserve a gold award, or a genuine opinion on the worthiness of upgrading from D90 is encouraged. However, twisted 'facts' or indifference opinion (especially those that subject to each individual) are not welcomed :nono: You know what is 风凉话?
You can accept it, but not all of us do.![]()
Only thing is, u can proof whether something is right or wrong. And each group of the people just pick their interest.
There is no need to push someone to dead corner.
Everyone is adult, judge and take the advantage /knowledge, learn it, or forever in the same dead circle.
My apology if my previous post sounded like I repeatedly pointing out your mistakes from your post previously. My post is meant to highlight the problems we have here in this very 3rd part of the thread, and that's senseless bashing, and why we should stop doing so, and to correct our fellow here who thinks senseless bashing actually helps.
On a personal note, I'm rather sickened by the amount of bashing here that leads to nowhere (how many of you here feel so too?). Sure, there is a problem, sure, let's talk it out and see if we can solve this issue together, sure. However, having comments such as "Guys, don't buy it!", "Nikon is going down the drain with this products" (of course, those words are not the exact word used, it's just a representation), where will we go from here? One bunch of D7000 owner go to NSC to protest? Or this thread will lead to at least 7 parts of nothing but bashing of Nikon, D7000 and possibly the upcoming firmware not working in a way so much you feel like destroying your D7000? :bsmilie:
And I disagree, there's bound to be right or wrong. It's whether you wish to develop this place; into a place where the right educate with tactfulness, the wrong accepts and move on, everyone discussed in a healthy yet firm (straight to the point) on issues; or a place where everyone starts bashing each other cause I don't like your ideas or you don't like mine, and end up 3 threads of nothingness. That'd be meaningless.
We're talking as an adult, and not merely based on who join when and what. It doesn't matter if one joined earlier or later, it's the topic itself that counts. Instead of saying stuffs like "I HATE NIKON BECAUSE OF THIS PRODUCT", let's move on with D7000 and talk D7000 itself shall we?
I think it is clear that I am not bashing at all. I am not the only owners around the world who voice out the issues. The real basher is the guy from this forum who registered a new nick and bark @ other forum which discussing constructively on how to handle or solve the issue.
O yeah, he should know who am I talking about ya?no need to point him out.
Anyway. Since it is so tough to share common issues over here, there should be some problem going on.
But dun worry, as long as I keep quiet again from thus point onward, at least it will be little bit lesser noise.
Actually I just need to keep in touch with nps with my issue, telling other people about these is not my responsibility and none of my business.
So I would say, keep quiet is better solution for here.
I can still share with joy with other members around the world, other forums.
Cheers and the world is peace. Life still going on. This is Wat a human should enjoy rather then fighting for right or wrong, winner or loser?![]()
