haha i got my H1 le!!! & very happy with the purchase. nice shop(not sony shop), nice service...great camera. i think i wont be happy buying Canon S2 IS. i prefer H1 look to S2, S2's len caps very lousy(falls off easily)..needs 4 batteries...self push flash...& oso, read tat S2 got some problems...ahahaha.. sorry canon pple!

sony promotion: free 512mb ms pro & 2 extra 2500mh batteries...(collect from Sony gallery)i oso bought myself a simple Honya UV filter & cleaning kit. tat's all. I realised to add the filter, gotta put the lens adapter, makin the camera so protruding :sweatsm: hard to keep in my bag. haa..then i duno whether the lens cap can be used on the filter anot...as in cover it like how i cover the sony lens? i did try it, it seems to grip well..but duno will spoil the filter anot..:dunno: sorry ah, damn new to SLR-like cameras. one more thing is i duno whether i can charge my 2500mh batteries using the charger they provide(tat charges 2100mh batt)..haa...till now i havent got the time to read my manual booK!! weekend zoomed pass so quickly!!! aiks!!!

how to post pictures here ah? can upload directly or need to upload somewhere n juz link it there? lazy to check la :p the camera has so many new functions(to me), seriously need some reading

thanks all for the tips!!!

Welcome to the family of sony cam users JusJaz! ;) Hope you will enjoy your cam as much we did. Btw, not sure how's taiwan weather but remember to bring a ziploc bag with ya in case of rain. You dun wanna get it wet. Just a bit of my personal experience.. sometimes weather in other countries can be pretty unpredictable..

:bsmilie: Army style. Ziplock everything including wallet/HP etc. ROC dun have sudden downpours but if you're caught in a typhoon.....

Northern ROC is generally wetter, so you might want to bring 1 big zip bag just in case. Normal days, your camera case can handle.

ya pic 1 abit dark but all in my mind was quickly capture the moment before the cat turns her head away!! if i play with the aperture/shutter etc...think she would have look away or walk away. haha...same goes for pic 5. was trying to capture her expression. but i guess everything will be easier if it was a sunny day.

actually plan to go zoo today but erm..overslept. :p haha...so maybe going tomorrow bah. crash course on using H1. hahaha...

i find myself having problem taking night shots. haiz...night shots without tripod & flash=bang wall. even with flash, it'll spoil the ambience...haiz. like tat how to take shilin ye shi?? hahaha....mayb use the night scene modes bah.

anyway, tips for H1 newbie users: go to dpreview's forum>sony talk...find this Alan's white paper website. the site has very useful advices on using H1, which i only read up after i took the cats photos. duh...never mind, nothing's too late. better than none!

I also wan to go zoo, bring me along
