Ya. A FF Lens designed for cropped bodies.

What the hell. I think I misread the reviews. Damn, I going back to scrutinized it again.

Kana fooled by the reviews. And I didn't noticed it's DX. Meaning cropped bodies only.

:bsmilie: I realized that too when I look at my 100mm f/2.8 macro manual.

Man. I think my eyes blurred. Wasted. I thought that lens is a catch. Now must think again liao. :(

Well, get Tokina lens if you want solid lens. :bsmilie: Built to last like a tank!

long time nvr ask tech question liao..

ppl, since u guys uses 450D, is there any tricks or tips dat u discovered dat are not found inside manual leh?

me a lazy person, so kinda normally shoot using "P" mode and adjust WB n ISO nia...:bsmilie:

Now People dislike the pictures thread? Great. Why don't we just appreciate the pictures. Take a look at them, and if you would like to know something, just ask on the thread. For starters, since an explaination is so important, maybe some one out there who post's pictures frequently can talk about his/her own picture.

People just wish to share their pictures. You can't force them to do something that they don't want to, or don't find the need to.

If you wish for something to happen, do take the effort to make it happen. Don't ask me to post a picture and write a write up for it. Because, it's not me who's complaining.:bsmilie:

Use Live View to compose shots for landscapes. Save the trouble of adjusting in PS. Can save the time and go stra8 into adjusting other stuff.

I guess A and M mode are much better option to use. ;p

I guess its a lot more easier if one gets the focusing screen changed. ;)

I usually start with A and switch between A and M for my shoots. For M, you can really play around which is fun.

I use M for night shots since I always set it to minimum 1/60 with external flash attached. :)

any of u guy have done light painting b4?

Well, to each his own. I , for one, do not come to this forum just simply to appreciate pictures. I came here to learn, share and to engage in a transfer of knowledge/skills. I am not condoning anyone to coerce a procedure upon someone since they have their own freedom. Just stating my mere dislike over the growing trend that i have mentioned upthread.

People are airbombarding photos after photos and leaving, expecting some kinda appraisals afterwards. Where's the learning process in that?Perhaps that thread was never meant to be a platform for sharing , just showing. Ah, maybe im just being too fussy but just my 3 cents.

just use slow shutter/long exposure :D this was taken with 8 seconds exposure, handheld.
depending on how much you want the effect to show i guess. pretty simple.

1. Tripod is a must.
2. Must be dark.
3. Lightsticks, firecrackers, torchlight. Can use strobes but other light sources are better.
4. Long Exposure.
5. I always keep myself out of the frame.

Actually it's about the same as fireworks shots just that light painting you can do it anytime and with an idea to shoot, it can be interesting.
Try on V Day Shoot. Get some fireworks and play around. Haha!:bsmilie:

A very nice light painting site. Be warned U-18, there's nudity shots by the author/photographer.

I would very much say its a matter of wrong expectation from the thread, especially there's no rule or regulation that the thread has to adhere to.

And there are appropriate sections in Clubsnap that you can look at and surely those sort of threads are what you're looking for, at least the write up or description is there and no lack of pointers from experts.

No offense to anyone but do look into the correct section instead. That 450D Picture thread was nothing more than just typical showcasing of pictures.
