Lion seems a good choice. We've always know wildlife photogs who shoot close up of lions using 50mm etc use a cheap body and remote control the camera's "buggy" from afar.. Cos they don't want to risk their pro bodies. Should use the 1DsIII and see if it can withstand a lion. Ultimate test of durability

I think honey badgers would be a better choice. :D

Yea..stick a piece of meat in the sensor area with a lens on n see if the lion can puncture the body

Hey guys do u think the 6d would be good for birding? Since the center focus point is that awesome..let's not talk about high speed action but birds under trees n shrubs n wetlands area?

Actually, I thought a crop like 7D should be better? Since birding always require a longer focal length for the reach...

Lol that's beside the point..I'm just asking about the sensitivity n accuracy

the centre AF point of 6D is 'awesome' in a sense that it can focus down to -3EV whereas the 5DMK3 is -2EV, 1DMKV is -1EV and 7D is -0.5EV.

it does not say much about the tracking ability.

Yeah..cause today i went birding on my 60d..not easy when the birds are in shadowy areas..ended up doing manual most of the time..since the auto focus can't focus on the birds under the shade..so by right the 6d would excel in this area right?

give more more cross/double cross AF point with sensitivity -2EV than one single center -3EV anytime..

exactly. the cross-type AF points, especially the peripheral ones, are damn useful when tracking such high speed subjects.

i actually do not think 6D will make a difference here, unless it is a REALLY low-light situation.

and in low light situations too. using center AF and recompose is too troublesome, and doesn't guarantee precise focus either if DOF is thin.

Hmmm iccc....hmmm decisions decisions

6D's wifi feature is pretty cool

Does it do a live view from iPhone? Wow

Yes live view with most controls like what u get from the eos utility

the LV capability on the phones obviates the need of an articulate screen which is cool.

Very cool but it can't replace an articulated screen totally. Each has its own pros and cons. :-)

The articulated screen is still needed when u need to hold ur camera at wierd angles and control the settings. Unless the camera is mounted somewhere, u can't hold ur cam and still fiddle the settings from ur phone at the same time with only 2 hands.

The remote will b especially useful when the camera is mounted a distance away and u like to remotely control it. It'll be useful too if u find ur camera LCD too small and like to view on e larger screen of ur phone.
