price of 5D2 got a slash few days back in the US now going for 1.8k. if u do the maths not sure if add gst + shipping cheaper than sg now.

frankly i would rather get a 5D2 than a 6D.

Same thoughts. 1.8k usd? Really cheap!

* 11 point AF when even 7D has 19 point
* SD card only.... While price of High Speed SD cards are not too $$$... still, what am I to do with my CF Cards

d800 file size too huge.....

The D800 costs more than 5D3 in Singapore. The former does not have mRAW and sRAW which I regularly use.

The D600+battery weighs 850g while the 6D+battery weighs 770g. The center AF point of 6D works at -3 eV while that of the D600 only at -1 eV.

I am just waiting for the 6D to be available. Then, I shall sell my 5D3 and replace it with the 6D. Call me crazy but I am a low-weight-reduced-size fanatic.

1. Entry level
2. Semi-pro
3. pro

U will get what u pay!

Anyway... Entry has moved to semi-pro spec and so on.

So what does Pro offer.. 30fps? ISO 88888888? or 2X FF sensor?

Yeah...the decision to use sd card is obviously to target upgraders of 60D, 650D..

But why? Is it solely due to price? 2nd hand 5d II already going for 1.9k before announcement of 6d and d600 so maybe this launch will push it down further.

This reminds me of the 40d launch followed shortly after by the d300. The 40d street price dropped to about 1k below the d300. So maybe 6d street price will drop quickly as well.
