So it was a typo mistake afterall, still no AF micro-adjust.

Looks that way. The author of the 60D review, (DigitalCameraInfo.com) has posted a revision or retraction from her original review as follows:

"Many apologies for the careless typo in the article. The sentence about AF micro adjustments was intended to be about the 50D, as a way of drawing out the difference between the two cameras. I’ve corrected the typo and reworded the section to make it clearer.

Sorry to confuse and, ultimately, disappoint. The 60D does NOT have AF MA.

Thank you for your vigilance!

was thinking of jumping ship to pentax but i think im gonna stay on with canon for awhile :D

i dun think good idea. if wanna change, better wait for the nikon D90 upgrade.
canon also good wah features & price-wise vs nikon. nikon was way ahead of canon on the film heydays, but present times guess both are good.

Well, my opinion on 60D is not so bad since I've realized 60D was never intended to be an upgrade from 50D from the start, but a realignment of the xxD series. Sigh I just want a cheaper alternative to 7D so badly, I really wouldn't mind a 9D or something...

me thinks 7D is still worth the pinch ... coz u buy a good body like 7D, can use very long also no need to upgrade (unless you turn super-pro for 1D series or FF)

Was quite sad with 60D also because the FPS and certain stuff dropped but then I talked about it with a senior plus I really wished for an articulated screen for funny angle shots. So I guess with a little disappointment, i'm still very much looking forward to 60D

alamak this is so sad.:(

This 60D is good choice for my traveling gear , more light and swivel lcd screen , this one will need if we go to the crowd like wet market place , i can shoot happily above the head ;-)

Seriously what are 50D users thinking... What do you honestly expect in the "upgrade" of 60D?

Any higher would be the 7D already right? 6.3 -> 8 FPS. High ISO performance and 19 cross points. Anything else im missing? So 50D users want all these features in the 60D? If not what are you guys babbling about?

The only thing I would have liked the 60D to continue from the 50D, was the inclusion of Auto-Focus Micro-Adjust (AF-MA). Instead they have "taken" away this useful feature. Even the change to the plastic body does not bother me too much, but the lack of AF-MA is, IMHO, a necessity.

How about an upgrade from 50D? There's really nothing much to look forward to actually for semi pros. If they want a better camera get the 7D. The 60D has become such a fun camera to use, especially with miniature effect, creative filters and other what not. I also would like the micro AF and its weird that they didnt, but its not a deal breaker for me. Anyways Canon is aiming a different market, forcing people who wants to upgrade from a 50D to a 7D. Contrary to what doodah mentioned, Canon will earn big time from upgraders who despise the 60D and go even higher to the 7D.

from wat i see 60D is more like a compact camera with many cool effects but it is in a DSLR form.. and more like a everyday camera to use..

I saw the 60D at the PMA show in Toronto, Canada a couple of days ago. I had a chance to play with it for a few minutes. Frankly, it was quite a nice camera.

Here's what I liked and didn't like:

1. The body felt good in my hands. The ergonomics were great and felt much better than my old 50D. The camera had an EFS 17-55 attached, so it didn't feel too light. I have fairly large hands but the smaller size of the 60D still felt very comfortable.

2. The lack of AF-MA is still a sore point with me. If Canon included it in the 50D, why on earth would they take out this feature in the 60D? It just does not seem to make sense to me.

3. I took a few photos with it and the LCD was absolutely phenomenal! The photos looked bright, sharp and colourful. Lighting was not great inside the convention hall but the 60D managed to pull off some great photos nonetheless. I would have posted them here but unfortunately I forgot to bring an SD card with me. I didn't test the 60D thoroughly, but with the few photos I took, I was really impressed with the IQ.

4. The fact that the 60D has a plastic body did not make any difference in how I perceived the camera. As I've mentioned earlier, the ergonomics seemed to have been improved over the 50D and it really felt "at home" in my hands. Perhaps because the plastic resin is easier to manipulate in the manufacturing process, this may have allowed Canon some addtitional flexibility in how they sculptured the body to make it "fit" better.

5. I didn't play much with the articulating screen other than move it around a bit. Although I've had previous experience with articulating screens, it felt a little awkward on a DSLR because I've always had a fixed screen. However, I could see the great potential!

I would highly recommend this camera for those who are looking to upgrade from the xxxD line. Even 50D users may want a second look at this camera. It really has a lot to offer and it seems better once it is in your hands rather than what the specs would suggest on paper. Canon may have created a lot of controversy with this camera, but after having an opportunity to play with it for a few minutes, I am very confident that this camera will do well.

Wow looks like the 60D has a fight on it's hands. The D7000 looks pretty impressive.

Wow D7000 even has 100% viewfinder, feels more like a mini D300s than a D90 upgrade.

think your pricing is abit off. the d7000 is slated for a rrp of USD$1499, not $1199.

$1499 is kit with 18-105IS

Seriously, without an existing lens collection, D7000 wins hands down for $100 extra.

Except the price, the D7000 seems like a much better camera in build and specs.
