I was quoted $970 (cash price) for the Canon 10-22 by Cathay.

Nooo way is it 25% man. 2600/2900 x 100% (for 70-200 2.8IS) is 90%; only 10% discount. 970/1150 x 100% (10-22mm) is 85%; about 15% discount.

It'd be safe to assume that all lenses will go down by at least 10%.

Jus check with some shops today for 135L F2. And the price are as follow,

What I wrote was DISCOUNT OFF THE LIST PRICE, not OFF THE PREVIOUS PRICE.
Please read carefully what I wrote

70-200 2.8L IS List price = 3,299
2,600 / 3,299 = 78.8% or 21% discount.

10-22 List price 1.299
970/1,299 = 75%

135 2/L List price = 1,399
1,160/1,399 = 83% or 17%

85 1.8 List price = 629
530/629 = 84% or 16%


OK lah between 16-25%, happy?

So 24-105 should be about $1,600 I reckon.

I called Cathay and here's the prices that I got from them:

EF100mm F2 USM - $800
EF 135mm F2L USM - $1200
EF 85mm F1.8 USM - $515 <-- I ended up getting this but am saving for the 135L
EF 28mm F1.8 USM - $840

Speedlite 580EX II - $720
Speedlite 430EX II - $430

Sigma 30mm F1.4 for Canon EOS mount - $750
Sigma 10mm-20mm F4-5.6 - $850

The 85/1.8 is a fantastic lens you will love.
I got mine a few years ago second hand for about $500 when it was $660 new. Now only $515 really good

Speedlite 580Ex II still about the same no reduction.
