I don't know what you all are complaining about. First come first place mah. You want to shoot, you want to see, you come early.
If you are lazy and you can't tahan the waiting game, that means you don't have that rich a passion for event photography. Give it up and go shoot portraits.
This thread is all about inconsiderate behaviors.
If you go early and got a place in front, fair enough. But don't use a ladder and block all those behind. The event is probably meant to be viewed when public is standing on ground level. The performers stand on a stage so that MORE people can view! If it is meant to be viewed by the audience at same level with performers, the organisers probably don't need to use a stage in the first place! To stand at first row and be on same level as performers is downright inconsiderate behavior.
According to your line of arguments, are you saying that those who can afford it (the time, money) can take all they want w/o being considerate for others?
It is also about limited resources. Let's take NDP tickets as example.
For NDP tickets, Being first in the queue doesn't meant that you can take all the tickets w/o limits (like PG taking up the extended airspace above his natural height). It is just Not right. Please take your share and leave some room for others to enjoy too.
by standing on ladder IN FRONT, they are depriving others behind of a view. there is only so much space in the first row, not everyone can stand on first row.
Please be considerate and only occupy as much space as your natural height. Don't take up the extended airspace above your natural height by the use a ladder. You are defeating the purpose of the elevated stage and depriving others behind of their rightful share of views.
Want good angle, take a super zoom and ladder and shoot from behind.
Why use ladder?????
Think tomorrow when i go watch movie, i will stand up and watch.....those behind me just too bad, who ask them to buy ticket so slow. :bsmilie:
 Good example.. really proves the point. Movies are not meant to be watched while standing.
Events are not meant to be viewed on ladders. What is the stage for? To elevate the performances so that people behind CAN SEE!!
