G-man said:No you cannot call CC hotline to cancel, the merchant has to willingly refund back the money. You CAN however, explain the situation to the bank and see how they can help you.

I paid for the whole camera with my credit card and then they tell me I have to collect my camera on friday as they have run out of stock. Fair enough, maybe it is the first day.

Bad bad call Boon Electronics as a well known distributor. And shame on Canon for not living up to their supposed service standard.
...
I urge you all not to buy any products from the IT with this distributor and Canon because they lied and did not fufill their promise.

None of us here work at CASE except to feel sorry for ur bad experience, I suppose we can't do anything abt it.
U might get a better response if u complained directly to CASE. They will sympathise & take action for u.
Well, bad sellers aside. His thread title's "Bad Experience IT SHOW - dont buy Canon 30D"?ShutterBugL said:give the poor guy a break lah. at least those of us who are planning to buy something from the vendor would now know we should be more cautious.

I know you are mad, I know you are angry but it is not Canon's fault. I always find Canon had been providing good support to their customers.
If you still insist that Canon should be responsible for Boon Electronics's mistake. You might want to consider writing in to Cqnon http://www.canon.com.sg/index.cfm?fuseaction=contactus&prod_type=contactus under the following section
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have a Feedback or a Complaint
Cant get your message across or simply upset with a service lapse. He is the man to call and talk to.
Freddie Fun is Canon Singapores Director of Service Recovery. He will roll up his sleeve, channel the queries to the right department or put right anything that has gone wrong. Thats his level of dedication.

By the way, I don't work for Canon, just voice out my personal view only. I am just a newbie using Canon camera. By the way, I usually buy from CP which so far does not have any problem at all.

ullyss, suggest u take up deadpoet's advice of calling ur credit card company to cancel payment. IIRC, boon electronics is one of the bigger shops on the grd floor of SLS, rite? and now u know why most CSers dun recommend buying cams from SLS... ;p
