In order to maintain the bare minimum shutter speed and noise, I chose to under exposed this shot. On hindsight, maybe should have upped my ISO.

Very nice, really like your new catch.

Great shots as usual Chris.

Nice egret, drongo & bekf shots chris! :)

Thanks bros, from shooting the Drongo, I've learnt that when shooting in low light, try increasing shutter speed and let the image under exposed a bit. This is better than getting a blur image with a slower shutter to get optimal exposure.

I went to Bishan Park yesterday looking to shoot the WTKF. The bird had only allowed me to shoot for a few seconds and before it flew away. In the process I had forgotten to switch on the OS!

Anyway, just to share these.

Hi Chris, I saw this WTKF too. But before I can take out my camera from my bag, it flew away. Yes, I made the same mistake as you once a while when I forgotten to swtich back to OS. Great catch nevertheless.:thumbsup:

18 May 2012, I went to Bishan Park looking for the LTS and WTKF.
And thanks to Silas who provided me the info on the location of this LTS.

Wow, good shots ! especially the Long Tail Shrike and Kingfisher.:thumbsup:

So many beautiful shots over here , love the Barbet series.

Great shots... Love the pictures with the bathing mynas... the one on the right seems to be taking a plunge into the water while screaming at the top of his lungs, "Banzai!!!" Hahaha.... reminds me of younger days playing with friends at the pool. Thanks for the pictures, and the memories invoked. :)

Thanks Peter.

Saw your Black-crowned Night Heron shots, it's a new species at Bishan Park to me too. There was once I saw a Chinese Pond Heron flew by, too bad it was too far for me to shoot!
