that was exactly what i was saying. i was just suggesting that we shd update the pricelist by sending a PM to cflee (i cant do it since i dont have the exact quote price, maybe TS can do it). im not asking him to update by looking at this thread.

i usually do that when i find out there are price changes for my lens. so why not for the 5D2 as well. thats all im saying.

That's because they already factor in the interest in the price. If u do a check with other shops, they'll sell it about 2-5% cheaper. Its a capitalistic world- bizpeople make money, banks want to make more, but photographers pay...:bigeyes:

Thats y sometimes can get about 2% discount if u bring cold hard cash. But its not necessary that CP stuff is slightly more ex, it depends on stock and promotion at times as well.

1DMIV already somewhere near 7K, don't think 1DsMIV will be so cheap.

For what I think, most 5D folks out there are looking to upgrade to 5DII. They are hoping to sell their old 5D for 2k and get another used 5DII for around 2.5k, 500 bucks top-up. Such a wishful thinking. Hehe. ;p

Even considering the price drop of a new set of 5DII, I felt that 5DII sellers wouldn't be willing to sell their used sets at such a low price. The only reason why they should sell is because they have really used up lots of the shutter count or the set is simply not in tip-top, good working condition. It makes more sense to hold on to their 5DII and make sure that they really 100%, if not, 80% 'used' it.

Then again, you pay for what you get. If you got the money, why not go and get a brand new set since the price has dropped. Else, go ahead with a lousy set at a cheapo price. :bsmilie:

i think the pricing is still quite high for some ppl bah... maybe those students and those just started working out may still find 5Dmkii pricy.

but for ppl like us who had been working for a while already find it cheap and affordable haha.

but i do dread the day when u see students trolling the streets with 5dmkii :X

There are already many students out there with 5DII. But whether they can make full use of the 5DII they have, its totally another thing. :bsmilie:

haha it started already..one now is calling some of those offering 2.5 - 2.6k for an MK2 clowns.. but come to think of it.. @ 3.2K bnew with 13 months warranty.. How much are they expecting for a used without warranty one?

Agree... but that would apply to all, young or old, rich or poor. Not only students.
In fact, I feel adults are more guilty of that haha. Cos more affordable.
