Why do you want a friendlier DSLR? I am hoping for more technical DSLR. Best is they remove all the electronics and just keep the sensor. Isn't DSLR about being technical shooter? If you want auto metering, auto aperture, auto white balance, auto focus, automatic everything....then the high end PnS have got them all already. Hey, they even have auto smile detection. I wonder WTF people need that for? ok, some auto are nice to have. But seriously I rather they focus on reducing DSLR weight by using new materials, focus on keeping tolerances variations to 0.001mm so that I can fit all MF lenses, create a standard mount for lens interoperability (much like the usb charger for handphones), have a dust proof sensor solution so I don't have to blow my sensor so often, have a better software suite for correcting all kind of bloody distortion and workflow so we don't need LR and PS. I think there are other things that will sell to me more than AFPs...

i called up SLR Revo... they dun have stocks for body and body+kit
body - $3168
body+kit - $4576
above price with gst.
Yup SLR Revo's price is so far the best.. I called them in the afternoon and reserved a set, stocks scheduled to arrive next week.
Anyone wants to buy the kit lens? We share, price cheaper for both of us :thumbsup: PM me

Not only is this affecting the price of 2nd hand 5D Mk IIs, but it seems to me that it is also indirectly driving down the price of 2nd hand crop bodies (to fund for upgrade). My eyes open big big when i saw people WTB 2nd hand 500D at $650-700... some even at $400! :bigeyes:

that was exactly what i was saying. i was just suggesting that we shd update the pricelist by sending a PM to cflee (i cant do it since i dont have the exact quote price, maybe TS can do it). im not asking him to update by looking at this thread.
i usually do that when i find out there are price changes for my lens. so why not for the 5D2 as well. thats all im saying.

That's because they already factor in the interest in the price. If u do a check with other shops, they'll sell it about 2-5% cheaper. Its a capitalistic world- bizpeople make money, banks want to make more, but photographers pay...:bigeyes:
