Well, with Nikon dropping the bombs (d700, new tilt shift lens, sb900), I guess Canon should be entering it very soon
As soon as Canon finalizes on the most important feature that makes the new 5D Mark II stand out from the competition: How many PRINT Buttons should be included? :bsmilie:

As far as Canon's concerned, the public has already seen the 5D Mark II: Look at the 40D. Add a 14MP FF sensor, and that's pretty much it. Ooh ooh, oh yeah, one more thing. Cripple that darn FPS to hobbyist speeds (3.5fps) for crying out loud!
Now back to the Print buttons. Should those be arranged vertically, or horizontally? Decisions, decisions people! :sweatsm:
Actually, Canon already launch the 5D II, it's name D700, under Nikon brand... Now only if they make the D700 accept EF mount, save me all the trouble with my lenses.
The dark side has already "show hand".

surprisingly nikon "show hand" thread is only slightly over 10 pages while canon "empty" thread is almost 30 pages ler.:bsmilie:

Look at the bright side, Nikon user waited years for them to catch up with Canon from D100 till D3, which of course frog leap over Canon like no body business, maybe we just need to wait a few years for Canon to play catch up...By then another EOS 5000D may be launched, with 30MP sensor on APSC and plastic mount body with maximum usable ISO400 with 3 AF points, selling at $499

Haaa.. rise of the dark side! If Anakin Skywalker can switch from dark to bright... surely D700 can be 5D mkII.

I can feel the force is strong in D700......and still no sight of Yoda (5D Mk II)...perhaps like he said in the movie "Totally fail, we have"....
I got this feeling that Canon is targeting the mass market 1000D where the $$ is....and let Nikon dominate the middle niche; as a friend told me that for a pro, if he had already owned many Canon L lens, it's costly to surrender to the dark side.
Personally, I was tempted by the D200/D300, now with the D700's launched - really feels like using the Force...

Yes, Canon is thinking how many print buttons should be featured in the next upgrade.I think Canon must have something coming out these few days. Just wait ~
Canon will overtake Nikon with a even lowlier EOS 10,000D and seize all the market share and profits!
And when Sony comes out with its FF, Canon will replace the 10,000D with the 20,000D with 2 AF points, selling at $399. Sure win strategy. :thumbsup:
I think Canon will finally launch the 5D2 after Olympus ditch 4/3 and release their FF. With all the competition, the 5D2 will be very competitively priced at $1999. Then my wait will be over and I will rush out and BBB :lovegrin:...dun give up waiting guys.

You dun need a shrink or bomoh.... you need moolah! Canon only can be moved with sufficient moolah (moving away, that is)!
