wanzw said:i am just considering to get a 350D when canon announced the 400D. the only thing that interest me from the 400D is only the dust removal system. however this is the first time canon introduce this technology so consumers won't be too sure how effective this thing is.
should i stick to my choice of a 350D or just get 400D?
blur like mad. lol.

Yes, but not be the first few to try them out...... wait for more reviews.....
This 400D also throw me into a bit of excitment.... wonder if anyone know the pricing..... :dunno:

10megapixel v 8 megapixel , doesnt mean jack.
dust... nice to have, certainly will look for it in my next body, but not a deal breaker...already used t ocleaning sensor.
but i bought my 30D because of the ergonomics. and better body, and its a better fit for my hand. ive been trying a friends 350D, and lets just say pressing a button to change aperture, SUCKS.
spot metering is also good, plus color temperature adjustment. and lets not forget 5fps AND finally, 400D still stuck at 1600 ISO. i have one more stop advantage with the 30D..
Johnaturn said:haha.. if 400d is meant to kajiao sony's a100 and nikon's d80.. i think sony and nikon are in for some trouble... 400d seems more attractive than a100 and d80.. well well.. shall wait for 30d replacement bah... the 10d/20d/30d family of semi-pros a class above teh 300d/350d/400d family of consumer slr .... a class apart..

hwchoy said:but how to press that button if you want to keep your eyes on the viewfinder? I think this only matters to people tracking actions. for me I am used to composing in the viewfinder while thumbing the necessary aperture or compensation value.

Hmmm I don't know about you, but I can operate my camera in complete darkness. Operating it with my eyes on the viewfinder is nothing.. Ask any Nikonians and Canon 1D-series users, I'm sure they can tell you too.. After all, I think most of the seasoned shooters do that all the time.hwchoy said:but how to press that button if you want to keep your eyes on the viewfinder? haha you've a point there.. Not everyone's thumbs can reach the position. XD Anyway I've noticed that for the 400D they've improved the position of buttons on the back.. Guess it'll be easier..hwchoy said:I guess that depends on how big your face is. if the buttons in question are half covered by your right cheek I thought it might be quite challenging.especially if your right thumb is not dextrous enough and need to press the buttons with your left hand.
