The main handling benefit of the 30D over the 350D is that extra wheel.
For 350D, to change aperture in Av mode = turn the wheel
change aperture in P, Tv & M mode = press a button b4 turning the wheel
I won't say it's hard to change aperture lah, when u get used to it don't really need to think. But of course having 2 wheels are better, like I used to hv with my EOS50..
On the other hand, the good thing abt 350D or 400D is that you have the option to travel light. Detach the vertical grip & you have a lightweight but capable body tt is great for travelling, want better grip & more stability just add on the grip.
