3 movies you watched 3 times or more.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned The Usual Suspects.

For me, it would:

1. The Usual Suspects

2. Memento

3. Terminator 1 :bsmilie: (I watched it something like 18 times when I was kid. Yes, I was bored.)

1. Saving Pte Ryan - more than 5 times
Why : One of the best war movies I saw... comparing with the thin red line which was on the screen around the same time... this movie was simply FANTASTIC !!! Great actions... Great actors... Great story too! Cant forget the 1st 15mins of the movie.

2. The Rock - more than 10 times
Why : The movie which have intro me the great actor in Nicholas Cage! Action-packed all the way... simply one of my favourite movie of all time. Even got the soundtracks of the movie! Best part of the movie... the shower room gunfight!!! " I will not give tat command!!!!!! "

3. 300 - 4 times
Why : Simply fantastic tats why! The fighting scenes... who cares its all done on computers... it simply ROCKS!!! " THIS IS WHERE WE FIGHT! THIS IS WHERE THEY DIEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! "

Say, I would have named the same three movies (but probably not in the same sequence) but you have beaten me to this :)

1. Saving Private Ryan - Too many war movies glorify war. This is one of the few good films out there that show us the disturbing scenes not commonly seen in a war film - bodies decapitated by machine gun fire even as the troops try to land on the beach, soldiers getting blown up to little shreds by bombs, neck sprouting blood like a fountain after being hit by a sniper, soldiers reduced by sheer terror to nerveless wrecks ... Such scenes are still very disturbing to me, but by reflecting on the cruelties and harshness of the war, it made the duties carried out by the few more real, and more humane somehow.

2. The Rock - Darn ... I had a LD for this movie but no longer have a LD player. The climatic showdown between the commandoes and the renegades in the tower is just mind wrecking with its intensity, pace and adrenalin. The parallel between the desperate fight on the island and the oncoming of the figher planes with bombs to annihilate the entire island was just breath stopping. That said, I gotta get myself a dvd version of it soon, before i forget again,
haha.

3. 300 - The chereography of the fighting scenes are one of the most memorable to date - it's like watching matrix once again, except this is set in ancient times.

Great movies, great thread !

Only name 3? There are too many...

Godfather
Star Wars (1-3 Only)
Lord of the Rings (and I read the books 4 times too!)
Shawshank Redemption (Love Morgan Freeman & Tim Robbin's acting)
The Devil's Advocate (Al Pacino.. need I say more?)
Nemo !! (who doesn't love it?)
Highlander (Part I ONLY, II & III sucks)
Trainspotting !
I Not Stupid (and I laugh and tear every single time)
Feng Yun (love it! love it!)
SATC - Sex and the City (sniff)
I suspect 881 once I get the DVD.. thanks Royston for the great experience :)

And my movie watching slowed down a lot since I fell in love with K-Drama..

1) Baraka
2) Seven
3) Braveheart
4) Silence of the lamb ... Countless time

Black hawk down
The Green Mile
Bourne Series

and tons more...movie buff I am..lol:thumbsup:

The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption are probably the only Steven King movies I like!

It is quite amazing the horror specialist (at least by me) can come up with such emotionally charged and touching stories too.

Great movies, great thread !

300 came up so many times on my thread, I really regret I didn't watch it on the big screen.

Not to worry, it is available on BluRay disc. But then, got no BluRay player leh

hmmm how come no one mentioned Gladiator? by riddley scott and i love the imagery of the lead character running his hands thru the wheat which reminds him of home; his ritual to rub dirt before he fights, the great sound tracks, awesome visuals, the loss of his loved ones to spur him to seek his nemesis .....

what the mission with robert niro? could not get rid of that haunting sound track after watching it!

anime like ghost in the shell, akira, appleseed, final fantasy, etc etc ????

ok fav movies?

- matrix (complete series)
- LOTR (complete series)
- shawshank redemption (fav show for the 90's!)
- snatch
- amelie
- cinema paradiso
- black hawk down
- fightclub
- schindlers list

wah my list very long!

The Godfather series
Gladiator
Braveheart

I've watched so many movies so far (especially for the past few weeks ---- exam stress), I don't really remember which movies that I have watched more than 3 times or how many times for that matter. =P

Just a few that come up in my mind:

1) The Last Samurai (watched it in cinema once or twice...DVD countless of times - simply love the spirit that is protrayed)

2) Gladiator

3) Secret, I can't tell (This is a great movie due to the twist to the storyline. It is totally unexpected, a must watch!!!)
I watched this movie exactly 3 times:
1st time - well, heard that it is a good movie so watch. Really swept by the twist in the end, but not really satisfied with the ending though.
2nd time - This time is to catch some of the conversations (you know, Jay Chou mumbles a lot), make the whole movie more meaningful. ;p
3rd time - Watch again with 2 of my friends who haven't watch it, at 5am in the morning (working hard for a project that night till no time to sleep)

I watched countless others and I think these 3 are the least mentioned (if mentioned at all)...
